MNKD could buy or merge with SENS and create a "One shop stop" for care. SENS has a current market cap of just 255 million.

Warning: Sarcasm ahead...
Wasn't Apple or Google going to buy us out some years ago.
I was thinking we haven't had any good buyout speculation recently.
I heard Elon might be interested in buying MNKD (that's only because I have a vivid imagination and sometimes confuse the voices in my head for reality).

BD would be happy ... because he'll end up with another TSLA.
But, that's mytakeonit

Pay attention kids. patience1 suggested MNKD buyout SENS, not the other way around. I actually own a small amount of SENS. I've heard and read multiple complaints about CGM sensors being ugly, snagging on things, et cetera. Senseonics has been working on a 6-month and even 1-year subq sensor so I bought a small amount of shares because I assumed it would appeal to many active persons with diabetes. A relative of mine has a pacemaker designed to last 10 years, so I had hope the SENS sensors would eventually be very desirable. I don't know if that makes them a good candidate for M&A with MannKind, but I don't hate the idea.

Mannkind buying and merging with Senseionics. 2 of the most awesome advancements in diabetes care to date..

I am with Peppy, not interested in seeing us spend $338,000,000 ($.55 - roughly 20% premium X 615mm shares outstanding) on anything, let alone something that has roughly $20mm in annual sales, $72mm in annual loses and only $98mm in liquid assets. Their Q1 YOY revenue was up $.9mm, COGS was up $1mm, SG&A was up $.44mm - scary - so it is getting worse (thank God they cut $2mm out of their R&D expenses). Looking at their most recent income statement and balance sheet I broke out into a cold sweat with flashbacks to four years ago. Nope, Nope, Nope, been there done that. We need everyone's eyes completely focused on driving Inhale 1 and MNKD 101 and 102 across the finish line.
Now would I buy their technology out of bankruptcy in 18 - 24 months (they have roughly 16 months of float)? Possibly if the price is right - sub $35mm - which would almost make their debt holders whole, and only if I could see some tangential sub-q monitoring applications that could be developed. These guys are staring down the same gun barrel MNKD stared down in the past, only I don't have as much hope for them.

Buying SENS would be about as brilliant as buying V-Go. Mike is probably trying to do the deal as I write this.
Apple needs the next big thing and the glucose watch might fill the void in their product line. Its been talked about for years and rumor has it, its pretty good. In fact its so good the FDA is concerned people will dose insulin based on the watch without the blood draw.
I can see Mike buying SENS and within a few months Apple introduces the watch. We can then put it in the "reps bags" along with V-Go and go back into the key accounts which have pretty much standardized on the Google developed G7. The reps can then explain the future for T2s is the SENS with the V-Go.

Suggesting Mike is preparing a deal that started as an idle comment from a ProBoards post is going a bit far. I appreciate that castlerockchris actually took the time to review the numbers to confirm the sentiment that M&A with SENS doesn’t make sense at this time.

“The Eversense E3 CGM System requires calibration twice a day for the first 21 days after the sensor is implanted, and then once a day unless the system indicates otherwise.”
This is why Vdex does not use it. Years ago I liked the idea of merging the two until Bill explained the downside.

Have to get more clinics opened first, working on Hobbs right now. How many clinics does Vdex have now? Opened and in-planning? Five open, two opening… ( Deming and Hobbs )building rental contract done. Then we have to go in and paint it and fix it up inside and outside. Six more planned to open by the end of the year. We plan on opening as many as we can in New Mexico and then moving into Texas. This depends on funding and partnerships. Don’t ask what partnership cause I’m not allowed to say, I guess because of the competition:-) But the minute I can tell you guys, you know I will!
