Unlike November 3, when the quarterly 10-Q was released before the market opened, there was no premarket press release this morning of the annual 10-K filing to the SEC.
Does this indicate a surprise is in store for us today, news that MannKind management doesn't want published by the pundits prior to the conference call? How much time will management give investment advisors to peruse the 2014 10-K before the taking their calls?
This is damn peculiar.

I think it's wishful thinking! I'm more concerned about the stock price being pushed (again) down for no good reason. If go much further we're going to test $6...The recent price action feels like MNKD isn't expected to announce anything that will propel the stock price up, hence the drop in price.

Surprises can be good or bad. If you want historical confirmation, research the origins of the bridal veil (chuckle).

Nothing's happening, maybe, just maybe an update on the Technosphere partnerships, if any.
I'd prefer a surprise announcement outside of the earnings call to catch the shorts on fire though.

I think we've been promised an update on the Technosphere pipeline "development" sometime this quarter. The speculation that there will be a partnership in the near term is indeed just speculation by shareholders, so the "if any" is certainly appropriate to keep in mind.

Only 3 hours to go until the conference call begins and the SEC filing has still not been released.
Yep, speculation is running rampant (in my head). Now I'm wondering if we're looking at a restructuring of the company. That would certainly fit into Matt's promise from several months ago that MannKind's financials would have a whole new look.
Of course, on the more pragmatic side, Matt might have just simply been eluding to the impact that manufacturing activity has on the financials of what is supposed to be a drug development company.
Once again, I'm surely going to be disappointed today, aren't I!
...and don't call me Shirley.

Nothing is going to happen that will cause your jaw to drop....in fact, you're more likely to shake your head like a baby's rattle!!! Nothing is going to happen that will cause you to call me Shirley!!! This stock will continue to frustrate us until sales numbers are going through the roof...

Matt and the boys will say 'we have narrowed the potential uses for Technosphere but that's all we can update you on.' Then go on to say 'we have launched Afrezza along with our partner, and we are looking at expanding the number of manufacturing lines but we can't say when'. 'Any questions we have no intention of answering?' This reteric will continue until sales push us up and nobody will care what they don't have to say.

Undoubtedly, nothing will be announced and we all we be sitting saying "huh?" after it all is over. Tomorrow, the stock will drop like a rock....again.
However, the perpetual optimist in me hopes for the following:
They will: announce they have already achieved several of the mile markers set by Sanofi and have therefore received a number of payments which they have converted to income in the fourth quarter. let us all know that they have entered into a partnership with two different pharmaceutical companies to use technosphere with their products present a new line which they will tell us has already been inspected and approved by the FDA report that interest and promise by physicians to write scripts has been overwhelming tell us that the new Sanofi CEO has strongly supported the partnership discuss the possible breakup of MNKD into two entities
Anyone else have a wishlist in these final hours?

We do have one piece of info already. Guess they can't redact the balance sheet.
They show an inventory of $9,670,000. My understanding is that this inventory would need to be carried at cost, not eventual sales price. Rough guestimate is that this amount of inventory (at end of Dec) would amount to 3x to 4x the entire amount of Exubera sales during the year it was on the market (which I believe were a total of $12M). [feel free to correct me if this is off base]
