I don't know if anyone is really watching the numbers (and correct me if I'm wrong Liane) but for a stock that according to many is in "the dog house" we sure are increasingly getting attention vis a vis the numbers...they are increasing weekly whether it's new members or guests. I'll leave the correlation to others to speculate on, however, as we are that much closer to pre adcom prices (unbelievably amazing I know to some) you would have to believe that those that sold and kicked themselves after they panicked would be thinking fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. With success there sometimes comes growth pains, has MNKD seen its share along the way absolutely ie., delays, dilution, etc. but there sure seems to be an increasing amount of interest if this board is any indication, why do you suppose that is? Think about this as well, as much as has been made about investors lurking on the diabetic forums, blogs, etc. they are in fact human and some may have never invested before and some may invest regularly but it is inherently human to understand if there is a product you can identify with and it works better than anything you've known before it well you know the rest...just a little food for thought with all those guests every 24hrs increasing on a weekly basis....I know Spiro and others are entertaining but no offense, they're most likely not here to get entertained...they can go to YMB for that  |

I've never seen these combined for over 1500, may Liane knows but I started looking about a month ago and this is steadily increasing....I have to believe shares keep transferring from shorts to longs as the SI meter continues to run higher in sync and the float stays relatively stable (other than warrants getting exercised from time to time)...today feels like a bit of covering from the heavy amount that was used the last couple of trading sessions...the sell off in the biotech ETF's led to some shares getting thrown out with the bath water but the short volume still had to be decent. Are you suggesting that there may be an influx of potentially new MNKD investors who are coming to ProBoards MNKD for information? Because that's what it seems like to me.
There have been the nefarious posts from those with an obvious agenda, but also many newbies posting some really good questions in this forum. Who knows how many speculators are perusing the board to get more information about whether MannKind Corporation (NASDAQ: MNKD) is a solid buy.
I think our board administrators probably been aware of the influx and have their hands full. I haven't heard from liane for awhile, perhaps she's with her hairstylist right now getting done up with something chic for all the newbies. Or she may be shopping around for an even more stylish Avatar than she recently put on display.

admins are stretched a bit thin right now, but we're aware of various goings-on. For the time being, we ask for everyone to keep things civil and to be as tolerant as possible of views that may not necessarily align with your own.
We have had a tremendous influx of new members over the past few months. It is certainly possible (or perhaps even a given) that some have been posting in support of a short-selling agenda. Please note that this is not against any board rules..
Nor is it against any board rules for longs to express FUD. What's really, really difficult, if not impossible, is to know for sure whether the FUD you see is honest or contrived. So the best thing is to realize you can't usually know for sure, and give a member the benefit of the doubt.
We'd like for all members to feel they can post their opinions without fear of being censored, attacked or even just labeled because to someone that reeks of a short infiltration.
I think it's safe to say we all need thick skins and deep convictions to remain solidly long in this investment. Not everyone is able to maintain their confidence in the face of MNKD-style price action. Please, remember to be tolerant.

We have been tending to get batches of new members in anticipation of the script counts every week, but that is slowing down. I imagine the upcoming earnings and cc is generating interest now.

Perhaps everybody is infatuated with the Shoutbox... I agree with you, having once posted the question, "why is a relatively tiny biotech development company attracting so much attention from giant investment firms". Perhaps investors are looking for some kind of indication that Afrezza truly is a disruptive drug, the kind of paradigm-changer that seldom comes around. I think they've come to this board, preferring us over the wild, Wild West over at YaZoo. just looking for answers. We've got some great stuff here. Charts, graphs, trend lines, decent analysis...even a resident expert (at least he seems that way to me) at Technical Analysis tools that he shares with everyone to throw yet another light in the multi-sided gem of a stock. Speaking of underdogs, time for me to get ready for the Wild v Blackhawks game (Series 0-3). Can my Minnesota Wild make history and win the next four? I surely don't know, but I'll support 'me all the way. Kind of like MannKind Corporation. Looks like I'll be reading the earnings report between periods. Late night (yawn). I sure hope the morning conference call doesn't put me to sleep.  |

Or (in keeping with the zoo theme around here) perhaps it's just the effects of a hedge fund manager that happens to have his head in the sand and proceeds to talk out of his.... either way I hope the scripts follow the growth rate of this board as its jumped just about 25% in one week...Liane be careful, I saw this type of transfer of membership between Blockbuster and Netflix...speaking of transfer of market share, someone must be a wee bit concerned about theirs as today was the first time I saw a Levemir commercial...maybe Toujeo is having decent sales in the early going? as we approach the 2000 mark: Users Online in the Last 24 Hours
