I have decided that the only way to stay sane with this stock after my first purchase in June 2008 and 48 sunsequent buys at every price from $10.50 to $1.61 to last month is to focus on the day of decision that will tell me if I have been a dummy or a genius ! Just wish I was genius enough to make an automatic countdown clock to post !

BD, I had the same clock I was going to post, But the clock stoped like yours. Would be nice to get one that can be some how on the mian page of this forum. Maybe some one knows more about this then us that can help?

I'll look into a PB plugin that may fit the bill...

OK, well, it's a bit crude (because I'm not a CSS guru), but it's a start. Scroll down past the thread topics on the main forum page... If I (or liane) get ambitious, maybe we'll eventually figure out how to make it prettier! EDIT: We've moved it to the top now. I guess that should motivate me to try and make it prettier...

That's pretty much it, in black and white! For us that just like the facts, if you put bouncing balls, or any other animation on this, it would be irritating. Thanks for the effort. It looks good!

Speaking of patience - has anyone here been around since the IPO? My first purchase was mid 2006.

Most of us can't say we haven't had the opportunity to make $ on MNKD. Just to add to my depression, I calculated what I would have made had I sold my position at the top and bought back at bottom and sold at next top - just under $2 million!!!! As it is, I am up about a buck on total position at current prices - woulda - coulda - shoulda.....

rak, that's a slippery slope. The tops and bottoms are only visible in hindsight. I used to beat myself up for that sort of thing, but I've graduated to only beating myself up if my entire portfolio underperforms the market, or if I've found that I've made trades on the base of pure greed or fear. It seems to me that one of the primary aims of the algorithms which dominate market action today is to scare other algorithms into knee-jerk reactions; the best we seem to be able to do as human beings is to take a longer-term view and apply the sum total of our experience, both technically and in the light of market trends and the particular hiSTORY of our stocks. There tends not to be much low-hanging fruit any more. It really takes patience and a good BS filter to make money these days. My hat's off to the gang who have been around this stock far, far longer than I have. I was kind of hoping lightning (the good kind) might strike twice--my entry into GMCR was in '06 and right before a massive run-up--but even then it wasn't straight up and I had to make a conscious decision to switch from being a trader to an investor in that company. This time I jumped right in as an investor, and the timing wasn't perfect. But in a year or so, I'm hoping I can look back and change my evaluation there

Do not worry, all of us longs will become instant geniuses the day Afrezza is approved. Actually, we could become geniuses any day now, with a major pharma partner announcement. I am not sure my skull is big enough to hold this huge genius brain, that I will soon have. At $5 per share, my brain is somewhere between a mouse and squirrel in size. if I don't stop nibbling at these low prices, I will end up with a worm brain, if Afrezza doesn't get FDA approval.
