By now, most of you should have realized that Spiro does a lot of thinking every weekend. Whereas during the trading week, he may often make decisions without thinking too much. So, here is something else to think about this weekend. Because Spiro is an Afrezza user and knows for a fact that Afrezza is an incredible insulin and after talking to four other Afrezza user's, Spiro has reached several conclusions. 1. Sanofi and most other major Pharma companies now know that Afrezza has blockbuster potential. BTW, the shorts also know this. 2. At the present time, Sanofi has barely begun to market Afrezza, based on their negligible spending on advertising thus far. 3. Doctor education and Insurance coverage are the two main issues that are keeping Sanofi from starting phase two of their launch or spending major money on a DTC blitz. Spiro has heard from reliable sources that most Sanofi reps are currently getting about 50% of their written scripts covered by insurance companies. This number is obviously increasing as more insurance companies add Afrezza to their formularies. It is plausible to believe that Sanofi should be very close to pulling the trigger on an all out DTC campaign. We should be getting some hints on this in the next several weeks. Spiro here, Afrezza is just too good to fail Attachment Deleted

One more thing to think about.... website traffic to afrezza.com is picking up www.alexa.com/siteinfo/afrezza.comAnd as far as google trends go, their statistics are very choppy, have noticed the same with my blog statistics on google blogspot, don't make any sense.... if you want decent web traffic statistics try someone besides google. Also, alexa might not be the best, either but the trend is positive

Probably around 12 hats, Spiro has multiple disguises. The real question is who wears the pants in the house?

On the face of it this is great news. Perhaps some patients that know their insurers simply don't cover it at all don't bother trying to get scripts, but 50% would seem to mean that many insurers requiring authorization or other barriers are indeed allowing it. I would think that this would eventually lead to dropping the need for patients and doctors to jump through the hoops. It will be a wonderful day when we start seeing more formularies with unrestricted Tier 3 or better.

Spiro has lost about 9 pounds in 6 months. Not good enough, but still trying to lose more weight.
Spiro here, waiting for Mallomar season to start next month.

Let's hope the analogy of Ship of Gold is the riches I store for Afrezza longs and not the shipwreck that sunk the gold.

mssciguy, Are you sure that's really Spiro's abode? It looks like a set to me, I think he's getting ready to do some TV spots. And the book about colour blindness? With MNKD, it does come in handy sometimes not to be able to tell the difference between red and green! I do have to admit, though, I have a bad case of screen-size envy about now!
