From the article: "The patient blogs, on the other hand, describe “good” glucose control but view the drug as a device that is “very challenging” to use and takes a lot of time to learn." I had no idea that, apparently, diabetics are among the dumbest people out there. Anyway, that's what I got out of the article, but analysis is not my strong suit.

babaoriley yeah he pretty much insulted everyone with an IQ over 100, incredible. Haaaaavaard... typical "that which is above cannot be that which is below" and "how now, Wall Street cow?" lmao... my alma mater rose to #11 nationally this year and it's a bargain, and a lot more fun than those stuffy competitive clowns.

So, who's 11 nationally?

I find it risible that a 575 million dollar company can drop the hammer on a 1.7 billion dollar company. On the contrary, it seems that MNKD likely dropped a hammer on PJC by not using them for their M&A and debt instrument services. They are probably still sore over that loss of business

They lie, they cheat, they steal, that is their M.O., nothing more

The Piper analyst is the same guy who predicted that Afrezza would NOT be approved by the FDA. His predictions are likely simply cover for short raids. Timing between the two events is so transparent and obvious. However, I watch the p/s minute to minute and I can see that this short raid seems to be failing. It looks like MNKD will remain in a trading range between $3.60 and $4.00 for the foreseeable future.

www.consumerphysics.com/myscio/I came across the above device (a hand-held spectrometer) while reading another board, and I couldn't help but think if one of us could get this near AF, the Piper guy, etc., we could actually find out if our theories about them are correct.

How about a spirometer that also measures the volume of one's "hot air"?

Bad enough it's complicated:
1. Open Inhaler 2. Load Cartridge 3. Close Inhaler 4. Remove cap 5. Inhale
Now all I have to do is wait for some analyst to tell me the device is dangerous, and I have to worry about pinching a finger or inhaling the cap or breaking a nail...
P.S. I think I should I have included "hold right side up" after #2 through #5.

without mentioning any names (please don't, anyone) also include footnote, "do not place tongue in front of, nor above, said device"

I guess it should come with a warning that the device could cause choking if swallowed.

To be fair, it does take some individual fine tuning. Using injected insulin you employ the exact science of: sitting in front of your dinner plate calculating every carb there while your friends and family are chowing down on their food. Then you need to divide said carbs by units of insulin while your friends and family go on to seconds and then you inject yourself while they are moving into dessert and then you wait for the insulin to start working before you finally take your first bite and they have already moved onto coffee and good byes.
After you begin to use Afrezza, you need to open a cartridge, load, inhale and enjoy the food with them.
Yeah... Real tough to learn

I am not a diabetic nor a doctor but these last six years feel like I learned enough about diabetes (plus have a brother who has been a T1 since 8 yrs) to not get how anyone cannot understand the concept behind Afrezza. I get that the actual learning curve and incorporation into one's daily routine might take some weeks to fine tune to the individual but surely the concept, with no disrespect to anyone is fairly straight forward to understand. Am not sure why doctors don't get it. But I also understand it is sometimes harder to teach an old dog new tricks or unlearn decades of provincial thought...

Perhaps rob and others in this board can write some articles in seekingalpha and other places rebutting this Piper pieces. It is good that we discuss in this board and exchange ideas picking apart pieces like these. It will be better that we also publicize our views outside this board to the public. Glad to see that Kanak Kanti De published some comments criticizing the Piper picece as "Overly Bearish". I plan to write an instablog on this.
