I think things are definitely in motion, but I don't think any news will change stock price dramatically. Just the small ride up and down as Rob has noted. EMA approval? Nope. See also: FDA approval. Milestone payment? Nope. See also: prior payment. Resolution of debt? See also: Previous PR around this. Complex. Whatever it is, shorts will FUD it into irrelevance. And even if Afrezza is covered during conference, that will take time to come to fruition. And I think FUDsters will spin out sales saying "its already accounted for" or some other complete nonsense. What may make some difference is return of those BOFA shares in less than a month. Will see some drift up with a cover story. Unless more games are played with that as well. Sigh. Frankly, it feels a bit like Purgatory. But this is a case where one CAN wait it out …. Perhaps best done while collecting some Orgone energy in an accumulator. I may be Old Mann's age by the time this comes around and I'll be needing it for that trip to Vegas. Unless of course, we get a serious surprise. And for that, which at some point I think will happen, I patiently await. One element that is difficult to FUD is the number of scripts. If they rise significantly, we're good. If not, the noise continues...

I'm not holding my breath.
With "significant rise" - first they will say its a one off.
Then they'll say it has to establish for "at least 6 months" to ensure its an actual trend.
Then they'll say its "capped off" if it stays flat even once - that its grown to its max in its niche market.
Then they will set an absurdly low P/E on the company not at all typical of a biotech with a pipeline, and insist that revenue was already baked into the stock price.
And so on. And so on. Its completely, utterly ludicrous.
IMHO, the business is solid. The stock price apparently has nothing to do with it.
My hope is that the game will turn, or that my investment strategy will eventually pay off.
Definition of insanity: Keep doing the same thing and expecting different results …..

agreed, Q2U.
however, if insty's are slowly accumulating and working hard to keep pps suppressed until they decide they own enough, wouldn't you then think they'll let the price fly? otherwise, why own MNKD as an insty? they want just as badly to make $$, since sending the sp flying will equate to way more profits than trying to ride the price to Karp's target of 0.

Perhaps in best interest of BP competition, BP potential buyer, HFs and tutes to all keep low until a B.O which would still come in at a solid return for them. They make money on the way down shorting. They make a chunk at the B.O, the buyer gets it cheap, and it sucks for retail investors that bought high and held long (e.g. say - B.O at $10-$15 only), or retail shorts that can't get out quickly enough and get caught holding the bags. The only "?" there is Old Mann and what his average is. It may be that he (and/or his Foundation) would still come out on top at the end. So there's a foil hat. Taking the hat off, could also be as simple as MNKD is doing what they say they are - trying to build a company and pipeline, and do not have the leverage with the financial shenanigans necessary to push off these giant sucker-fish/mosquitos. And won't until they make bank on Afrezza. And thereby - our script numbers won't make any difference in share price. It'll be MNKD having the financial muscle necessary to pull the associated lever (e.g. massive stock buy back or such).

I laughed every time I saw that.... what is so strange is, it is/was true, Area 51 is/was a place to test new aircraft. Agree about Al, like many folks that age he is working on his legacy, somehow his strategy will work out for the best for his endowment (to USC I think?)

Here is my issue. Don't these numbers mean nothing since the data lags 90 days? They could have sold on the run up a few months ago and own nothing now. Its encouraging but it is not fact that this is still their position.

Its encouraging but it is not fact that this is still their position. The way I understand it is that was their holdings as of the quarter ending and that being the case the price at the close of the quarter was around the 5.70 area so if they did sell as the price was declining post quarter I would be surprised as it doesn't look like it was meant to be "a quick trade" rather accumulation. In fact, it would not surprise me the least if they didn't or aren't adding at lower prices....they seem to be the smart money in my view ...guess we'll see where they end up this quarter ending 9/30 when published. I'm just wondering if they're the "grey alpha wolf" ....and a "leading indicator" as they have been very successful in the past. Usually pays to follow the smart money, that's what pops always use to say anyway fwiw
