tayl5, Click on the user name you want to ignore. When you get to their profile, you can block them from there.

Thanks, Liane. I noticed that the blocking option under the member's profile settings is only available on the proboards desktop version, not the mobile version, though it's possible to switch to the desktop version, make the hit and switch back on a mobile device.

OBSERVATION: This board is infested with soft bashers. PREDICTION: These soft bashers will gradually harden over time, until scripts ramp, at which time they'll disappear. What was once a great pleasure in monitoring this board is sadlly becoming a drudgery. If the credible longer termers (you all know who you are) ever want to creat a private messaging group, I would appreciate being included. I created a channel on BBM where we can post privately. Go to BBM, download the app on your smartphone and search using Afrezza. I have control of this channel.

The board is infested with impatient people, whether soft bashers or not. Everything needs to happen right now or else the world is ending. Taking a break from the board and staring at the stock price is probably the best medicine there is for this sort of anxiety, but impetuousness will not be overcome by any sort of reasoned discussion so I am content in ignoring threads started by certain people who are easy to identify. Patryn Agreed. Committed longs here have done their due diligence and know his company inside and out. Most would agree that the headwinds are considerably stronger than expected; but c'est la vie. Personally, I have not even looked at a share price for several weeks, so were it not for the thread titles claiming historic lows, I would not have a clue. I'm disappointed in how this board has evolved in the past several weeks too, but I only read the offerings by established members, such as yourself, who have proven their mettle over the past couple of years. I'm keeping my powder dry regarding the acquisition of additional shares. I'm tempted, but wanting to see more evidence of an upward script trend. Not an uptick that is jaw dropping, but one that shows consistent progress month to month. To be candid, weekly data has so much inherent error variance (noise) so as to make it irrational to worry about minor fluctuations one way or another. As others have pointed out, the important thing is the month-to-month trend. We all know that scripts must improve significantly within a couple of years if MNKD is to survive. So, happily, with football season, Congress, and baseball playoffs as nifty distractions, there is plenty of amusement beyond the stock market. If the ship goes down in flames and all is lost, I can truly say that this becomes one of the most interesting stories of a great product destroyed by a wildly imperfect market. I'll walk away content with the fact that I did not lose money that will change my standard of living and I didn't trade on margin. Those two realities enable me to sleep soundly at night and patiently await the outcome, hoping that greed and corruption don't prevail at the expense of the lives and quality of life of persons with diabetes. Regards to all longs, Chris C

I think we need to make a distinction between people who are trying to hurt the company by spreading FUD and people who are genuinely expressing their feelings. I am long but I regret buying as early as I did. I'm sure most of us are in the same (dream)boat.
The fact is that none of us have any real news. If people only posted facts we would not have a message board. This is sort of like a support group. If the company and the stock were doing as well as we expected none of us would feel the need to post or read anything here. I certainly don't read message boards for any of my other investments.

I personally read message boards, have Google alerts and various notifications for each of the few small biotech/ meditech companies that I own or am thinking of owning. I come here to get info and opinions about Mannkind. We get a lot of 'new news' and good opinions from this board. Sifting through the whining from sad longs, the FUD from the Lorenzos of this world (I do think he is amongst us now!) and relatively pointless management bashing (that is what happens when the price goes down: always) is an irritant but certainly still worth it. This is the best board (and by very far) around for Mannkind and I only wish there was an equivalent for my other baby biotechs/ Meditech companies. It seems possible (obvious?) that some are now targeting this board with FUD and uninformed spam so as to get us to stop reading/ posting. It's working to a certain extent I think. As a side note a small group of known credible posters forming a private group and posting there would certainly be a way of diminishing the value of this board. If it does happen I certainly would like an invite though! If it has happen: why didn't I get an invite? Jerks!

jpg, it hasn't happened to my knowledge. It wasn't my intention to imply that I would start such a board. I merely want to be included if it happens.

As long as we have moderators this will never turn into the "other" board. Thank you moderators for a difficult and thankless volunteer job.

Thanks jpg, savzak, and uvula! We are trying to keep this board useful and relevant. I know this board is important because there is a MNKD basher who dismisses anything I repost from this board into the comments section of MannKind Seeking Alpha articles. The basher thinks Spiro is of dubious character, too. Can you believe that? But, seriously, this is a great board and I also appreciate the time and energy you place into keeping it interesting and relevant. Best wishes, RS

WOW! So, the best way to evaluate an investment is to get a group of like minded individuals all thinking the same way about a stock? I'm sure I'm one of the bashers you reference so anything I say is just a bash, but, that's a "great" idea.....lol Maybe you can have colors and a theme song too A person who can't be critical of their investment decisions evaluating both sides of the equation till it hurts is destined to repeat the same mistakes over and over till they are broke..... Investing is uncomfortable and sometimes downright sickening. It's not playing checkers with your best friend while drinking tea. It can be brutal and mean and dirty. No, not message board stuff, I'm talking about the investment - putting your hard earned money on the line but giving it away to someone else so they can make it grow through their work, their products. It's a cut throat world but apparently some think otherwise. Best to comb your hair back and keep moving forward than to sit around whining about bashers and soft bashers and this and that......MNKD is trading at 3ish and that's nasty. So get to solving your investment problem (if you have one) and stop whining about what other people post.

So get to solving your investment problem (if you have one) and stop whining about what other people post. you are correct about the "dirty" part: Have you ever seen a price manipulated and pegged like this one, with nearly zero real volume except for occasional 500k or larger trades? This is as "dark" as it gets as in dark pools. I am afraid the real information we need is completely confidential and not something you'll find on any public message board. The price of a secrecy breach on Wall Street is pretty high, won't go into details but there is plenty of anecdotal evidence out there. Outside of reporting the manipulation/naked shorting to SEC and signing the petition, not much that I can see doing now, besides waiting. Good luck... btw, like your unicorn avatar @davinci --- there was an article about a "unicorn" company today, a software vendor, worth $4.5 billion on not much more than hot air.... those Silicon Valley folks know what to do with hot air (turn it into money)>

It really would be nice to not have to constantly read advice about the techniques for how one should go about making their investing decisions...
somewhere else at another IP address, I am sure there is a board for that- Caveat Emptor ALREADY!
