Happy for the change but normally a fallout in sp when these shake ups occur and usually causes delays in immediate progression. Let's hope for some more news soon that balances this out. Wishful thinking...

A lot of talk about Viehbacher in this thread.
We need to treat our partner with respect and consideration or we risk alienating the relationship. How would we feel if Sanofi hired and appointed Haken to lead the Afrezza sales group?
Maybe that's a bad analogy - it's more like marrying your friends ex-wife, something that shouldn't be done

Lol. Thanks Kb. I'm definitely highly invested. The BoD will find us a great CEO.

Or, mostly stock options? Something to motivate higher respect for share price (not that that matters long-term, but higher share price would reduce hit pieces and increase confidence)

I'd say go contact Martin Shkreli. He, at least, would remove any doubt that Mannkind is finished if he came on and saying that Afrezza and Technoshpere were the future of drug delivery.

I like the chris V idea. He would know how to work with sanofi. Reportedly, He does have a new venture. (I did see the humor, you shouldn't marry your best friends ex-wife. Good one)

Except they will now have to pay $2m+ for a new guy with huge options none of that matters if he executes

I see it positive as Al taking over the interim position. If his health wasn't good likely the BOD would not have given the reins back to him until they find a new CEO, Assuming they are looking for one.

We don't know what is going on and under the circumstances, there might have been no other choice but for Al to take over.

It's a shame this didn't happen before the quarterly conference call. Al would have told it like it is and we would know more about where things stand.

Or they didn't see any alternative that wouldn't crater any hope left in the company? I hope you're right

It's my feeling that he was pushed out. Opinion only. If Al wasn't able they could have delayed it until they found a viable replacement. Just my speculation and nothing more.
