Wow! What a change in a few days makes. At the end of last week, with a mere suspicion of a secret meeting leaked from YMB, some members of this board soared sky high. SNY was clearly invested because they brought the early adopters together and that meant they were still invested. In fact, it was posited that SNY was going to buy out Afrezza for 1100%. We were going to get cash and SNY stock. The good times were here. Remember, no confirmed news caused this hype.
Then, without ANY additional news, the board became a mob. Some of the strongest supporters turned ugly. Yes, UGLY! Yet, nothing has happened.
Get a grip folks. Whether you like it or not, we are in this together, at least until we succeed to whatever or crash and burn. I know this drug. It is amazing and I can't believe that it will fail. Could MNKD fail, you bet, but not at least for the next year, even if our share price drops down to double digits. And it has been shown over and over again that MNKD CAN make it another year.
So, take a deep breath, get a grip and hold on tight. If you can't handle the stress, turn off your message board for the next 6 months. I, for one, will follow whatever news comes forth, good or bad.
In the meantime, let's not each each other for dinner!

Other smart people just like me!!
Now its become something of a battered shareholder shelter.

The nurse had a chart of the spread of STD's it starts with 1 who sleeps with 2 partners and the 2 partners sleep with 3 ETC, ETC, . That's what's going on. But I thought the same with Afrezza , 1 user turns 2 tells 6 ETC,ETC. |

You know, I really want to go away. Take a break from the board for the next 12 months. However, I believe having access to this board is probably saving me quite a bit of money in therapy. I have a place to vent, I hope within reason, and from time to time, with posts like the one above, I have to laugh out laud. Normally is Kball that has me cracking up, but thanks for that DBC, I really needed it.

The pessimist in me is wondering if this might be the end of the road for MNKD? However, whether it is or it is not, I really would like to know from the horses mouth the answer to my question, "Now what?"
I have continued to send messages to Matt for the last month or so, but ever since his clear misrepresentation of the situation during the TASE offering I have not had one answer from him to any of my questions. I recognize that some of my questions were, likely, not the type he could answer, but other certainly were answerable. As the sp falls lower and lower every day, we are all holding our breath waiting to see if the new year will bring something good, but my sinking feeling tells me that even if we heard about another TS deal, unless it comes with plenty of cash up front, it might not make any difference. Similarly, I think that unless RX start improving drastically, news of Sanofi standing by Mannkind will prove disappointing. At this point what I would like to see most is Sanofi making an offer for Afrezza and then MNKD, once ridden of the financial situation, announcing a couple of TS deals, but what are the odds. Close to nil, I would say.
Incidentally the avatar is also one of those cool pictures you can take here, but the story is normally the same, lava flow cuts road. Only mildly amusing if you are a tourist.

I think I'd rather see them sell off one of the TS opportunities and hold onto 35% Afrezza even if the TS sale were considerably below what it might be worth if developed further. Big Island? |

I would be fine with that if it brought enough money to allow for MNKD to move forward with certain financial security, but I doubt they would get enough money from something that has not been approved, so ...
Yes, the Big Island, a.k.a. the island of Hawaii. I am not certain, but assume the whole archipelago is named Hawaii, because this was the first island captain Cook reached, so although each island had already its own name they all got amalgamated under the Hawaiian islands. Perhaps also because king Kamehameha, the unifier of the island was from here.

The folks on the board will change their tune just as quickly in the next run up. Look at what happened last week? Those that take advantage of this drop is going to come out in a much stronger position than the pessimists. Objectively, compared to my original investment, I'm not risking all that much to significantly lower my cost. |
