I just bought another thousand shares at the close... Huge volume at the end??? So.... does anyone remember when Matt said that the manipulation was "not so innocent" ? Freaking ey, a whole book could be written about what's happened with Mannkind, I wonder if anyone's at work on that...

Amazing that the closing price is within the option price of $1.50 and the bid / ask straddles both calls and puts. Think it is a coincidence? Not a chance!

I mean, for those option holders? Are option positions already establised dictating future price in the absence of any communication or developments?

By dropping the share price within 2 cents of an option, the option holder has the right to exercise the option. By straddling the strike price at the close, bid $1.48 ask $1.52, both $1.50 calls and puts can be exercised. This is no coincidence.

When does an option holder NOT have the right to exercise an American style option prior to expiration?

It would be nice to hear that the company has been working with the feds on bringing the shorts down Perhaps that is why Company never commented about it. Interesting timing on it going down he was arrested almost 5 years to the day that he sent the FDA the letter about Afrezza. If MannKind was working with the Justice Department that would be wonderful news.

Pretty confusing. Many people claim that when shorts start covering, the pps goes up. Now it appears the pps goes down when they cover. What am I missing? If anyone can offer a brief explanation in laymen terms I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

They could increase spending and drive down the debt at the same time!

FWIW, the short volume today was just shy of 60%. It's been increasing over the last few days. While short volume doesn't equate to short selling, I'd be very surprised if there was any covering accomplished in the aggregate when the short volume is over 50%, no less near 60%.

Maybe he will be writing his tell-all autobiography of his short (pun intended) Wall Street adventure during his spare time in the federal country club for white collar criminals. MNKD should deserve at least a chapter of its own. Maybe he'll hatch a crowd funding scheme to publish the book. Come to think of it, if the the book names names and provides enough detail, I might sell some MNKD next year at 5 or 6 to make a contribution.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that if he ends up in the Graybar Hotel, he cannot collect proceeds of such work.
