Good news is that if this were a possibility, the new CEO knew and still signed up.

Sanofi dropping MNKD or vice versa is material and has to be disclosed. Even a 90 day notice should be material and should be disclosed. Agree?

SNY has not dropped MNKD. MNKD has not dropped SNY either. I am saying that MNKD is prepared for the possibility.

I love it! Sounds made for the job. I wonder how long they had him in mind?

If you want to hear and get an idea of DeSisto's speaking style, click this link to "Medtech legends and leaders on the state of medical device innovation" and select the first podcast. Duane is the first speaker, talking about the advantages Insulet had over a giant like Medtronics.
Link: www.massdevice.com/podcast-medtech-legends-and-leaders-state-medical-device-innovation/
I love how he says, "If Medtronics still only had 75 people, we'd kick their ass..."
After you’ve listened to Duane talk about the startup of Insulet, go to the 14.14 minute mark into the podcast : Moderator: “Duane, how far away are we from a true cutting edge artificial pancreas?”
Duane: “Umm, I don’t think anyone in this room will live long enough to see it… CGM sensing is not accurate enough to deliver insulin by itself.” “If you’re really going to do this you’re going to need insulin that, basically, reacts more like your body, so it goes in almost instantaneously and has a very low tail. And if all that gets resolved, here’s the question. How does it know that you’re eating a pound of pasta because you’re going to run the Boston Marathon? It doesn’t! So it’s going to basically load you up with insulin and, by mile two, you’re going to look like me running… ”
---
This podcast, in my opinion, will help you understand why Duane DeSisto was hired.
Just listened to the podcast. I have a good feeling about this guy. I suspect we are about to see a big turnaround in MNKD the likes that will have Kliff and Fuernstein POUNDING SAND and sniffing grass for a long time.

Sorry, orlon and sportsrancho. I deleted my post that you are responding to (before you posted your reply) and instead created a new thread with the link to the podcast of Duane's speaking engagement.
IMO, he's an excellent speaker and I, too, love the message he delivers.

I love it! Sounds made for the job. I wonder how long they had him in mind? Thats a question I posed to lakers in state of the union thread.. wondering if Desisto was always in mind and hakan needed to be interim and he went 'rogue' wanting to be perm so Al removed hakan just my thoughts on it.
Lakers seems to have an inside track though we don't know the hakan appointment to removal really.

Hasn't been talked about for a while, but those 12 lines in UK that SNY was building a few months ago should be done soon. Wonder what they're for? My line of work is land use consulting and development permitting. Yes, I checked the city web site, and yes I read the application. Should have finished up about the same time that Hakan stepped down in my opinion... Hmmm... or could be nothing. Maybe SNY needs those 12 new production lines for something else. Dot to dot to dot to dot.....

My concern is why the hell was this announced on Christmas Eve when the market is only open for a short session and then closed for a three day weekend? ? Seems to me that MNKD is trying to bury this hire inside the financial news cycle. If this was something to be proud of would they not of released it Sunday night before the market opens on January 4th? Then get the CEO on the talking head shows? When the news smells like a steaming pile of poo, it typically is. You really believe the future of a company is predicated on announcing a new CEO on Christmas Eve vs Sunday evening? You got to be kidding me. LOL, guess I was right that they were trying to hide the steaming pile of poo in the Christmas Eve release.
