If MNKD knew this coming ...then a huge capital raise might have come beforehand as in a secondary.....so either they have adequate capital or they were negligent in raising funds knowing this was gonna kill the stock

The handwriting was on the wall in November when Sanofi gave their investor presentation showing just how badly their diabetes programs are expected to decline. Drug partnerships are run by joint committees with members from each side, and everyone pretty much knows what the other guys are thinking. While Sanofi could not legally give notice until after January 1, they might have made it very clear to Hakan and Al that they intended to do so at the first opportunity.
It is no secret that Sanofi will undergo a major restructuring, and that most of those steps will be announced in February. That was on the table for public digestion back in November. Most of those changes will be announced later this month or in February; Afrezza is just step one in what is likely to be a fairly long list of program terminations. My guess is that Sanofi had done everything except mail the notice back in October.

My curiousity isn't as much about Hakan as it is about TASE - did MNKD know about the likelihood of SNY leaving when MNKD raised funds in November via TASE offering? Certainly would think that there are some very unhappy Israeli investors right now (along with us) - seems to me that MNKD would of had some idea this was coming.

When in reality they obviously have no intentions of closing their short position. Whats even more frustrating is this game with shorts that they are losing has affected the cash they have on hand. The more this rolls out the more its obvious these guys are out of their league.
