This points to them selling the company, hang in there guys. We won't know on the price and it won't be the price we all thought when we got into this, but it'll be higher then today.

I was afraid of this, and felt it was coming. Just hoping that it would not happen. I have been hoping a lot lately.

With Al owning 38% of the outstanding shares, would it make sense for him to take MNKD private rather than Chptr 11?

I'm not selling a single solitary share. The horrendous management aside, Afrezza, Technosphere, and NOLs combined have far more value than the current price suggests. Surely, there's a company out there that will pay up for an FDA-approved drug that targets a huge patient population and a drug delivery platform that can extend the life a portfolio product and improve a generic drug. In the meantime, cash on hand plus Sanofi's obligations for another few months give the company time to do something right.

Horrible. This board had a lot of hope with this new hire and now he is gone. Here goes all Jan options and probably the whole company. At least it will stay a penny stock for some time. And the shorts were all damn right. Everything screams to stay away from this stock. Sadly Itis by costs my largest investment ever. That was a really expensive lesson.
So DeSisto did not know that SNY will opt out. There was no "gentlemen's agreement". I strongly believe now that MNKD was doomed when the Brandicourt took over. He had his bad experience with Exubera and no interest or incentive to give Afrezza a decent start. So SNY only did what they had to do to avoid a lawsuit till they opt out as soon as possible. It could be that things worked well on the operational level. But this did not matter. This is a french company and the CEO is "Directeur Général", at least a semi-god. These guys never come to you, you are requested to go to their office. SNY did a cold call on Jan 4th.
I wonder now why Hakan had to go that abruptly.
I will keep my shares for now, despite a margins call around the corner.

Hell, at this point I'd take $3 per share and run away from this disaster as if I won the powerball jackpot.
I can't think of a sadder situation where a life changing drug with proven efficacy and the ability to change the lives of diabetics for the better in such an amazing way will likely never see any considerable success because of the complete and utter ineptitude of the officials charged with it's development and care.
Regardless of how this ends, I think business schools should be doing case studies on MNKD for a long time on how NOT to operate a company.
I'm pissed but I actually bought another 1K today at the deep discount, PRAYING that they can sell for more so I can recoup a little of my losses. If not and it goes belly up, what's another $670 to piss into the wind?

Entertain us with a number, and make it over $7.50! Assuming they can find a buyer, I don't think you'll see over $3.50 or $4 per share. Any company would be out of their mind to pay more for a stock trading at $.67. Even that might be a stretch. The company is worth more than that with a FDA-approved drug and the IP for their patents, but that value will likely never be realized in a buyout. At least not now.

I wonder why we haven't yet seen the SP crater with nearly one million shares traded? I suspect b/c this improves near-term odds of a sale

Matt said this last week.. This is not the end of Afrezza or MNKD by any means.. In fact , we look forward to a clean slate and the freedom for a new approach.... some may say how can you speak so assertively in this difficult situation ... we have overcome difficult positons before and have prevailed"... This shouldn't change based on Disosto not being the CEO

I anticipate a full buyout for around $2 or them taking it private for roughly the same amount within a month. That, or filing bk. Unbelievably disappointed right now. Then again, with Matt being over worked will save the company some money... Who is buying right now??? Do you think Al would be or isn't he allowed to right now???
