So now along with Margaret Hamburg, and countless others, Sanofi has blood on their hands....in the end I pray they all get the "careful what you wish for" right up their you know what. The statement by this parent regarding boycotting Sanofi's products speaks volumes of this epic wrongdoing by so many on so many accounts. Think how liable SNY will end up being when this is correctly priced and marketed with the proper label it deserves. It will happen and again there will be many exposed IMO in the rear view mirror. Keep the faith that ultimately Al and the Sam's out there get vindicated in the end.

That comment alone should empower Al, Matt & team to see Afrezza through this tough stretch! Long live Afrezza!

What a wonderful post. I hope for the sake of her daughter and all other diabetics that Afrezza prevails.

Great story, I feel the same for my wife. She's still trying to dial in the dosing / timing (of course with help from no one, other than me, which isn't saying much) and keep control of the highs, but the peace of mind she has now going to sleep every night is wonderful.
As for SNY, unless there's some new development I am tainted forever. I will be biased against them for the rest of my life.

Nice find Harry. Wonder how much $$ Sanofi is willing to send to Mannkind in return for some type of waiver to litigate. If Matt can come up with some big bucks and get Afrezza going, the sales revenue alone would demonstrate that Sanofi did not act in good faith and it gives Mannkind the resources to file suit against them with damages in the mid-high 11 figure range. What would a big health insurer say to Sanofi for trying to deprive their patients of a product that could improve the quality of life, reduce health complications and costs big time. What would patients say if they new Sanofi deprived them of a product as good as Afrezza. Lots of moving parts but this thing could spiral upward and come back to haunt Sanofi in a way they never imagined. Anyone think Mannkind picked up some $$ from Gurnet Point Capital - this is where Chris Viehbacher works now. Gurnet Point was founded by Ernesto Bertarelli. The family owned Serono and according to Wikipedia, Ernesto alone is worth over $8B and the family, north of $14B. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernesto_Bertarelli

THAT is exactly why I (and most likely everyone else) invested in MNKD. Clearly it is simply superior in every way and is a legitimate paradigm shift. It is absolutely astounding that the advertising was so meek and pretty much non-existent when something of this magnitude is literally in front of their faces. It is obvious as well the tremendous threat that Afrezza represents to the oligopoly of existing insulin and pump providers - Afrezza can render most of them un-necessary. It also explains the dramatic and relentless attacks from all sides - when something threatens your cash cows and $Billions are at stake you will pull out all the stops to defend those cash cows. As we have witnessed. Fortunately most average folks love an underdog story - these sort of messages could encourage others to try Afrezza - not only for the amazing performance they see reported but also a chance to stick it to the Big Boys who they have been forced to live with all these years.

Just imagine 1 or 2 Sanofi sales reps spilling the beans on what effort they really put into marketing!

We actually need a couple of whistle blowers (SNY reps) who believe in Afrezza to spill the beans..... Not out of the question.

Interesting to read these couple of brief articles where Viehbacher gives you a glimpse of his thinking. It seems to be pretty clear in hindsight that when he left Sanofi, MNKD lost their champion. The fact that Brandicourt had overseen the failure of Exubera created a perfect storm. www.fiercebiotech.com/story/chris-viehbacher-explains-if-i-had-2-billion-invest/2015-06-23-0 www.reuters.com/article/us-health-pharmaceuticals-viehbacher-idUSKCN0T830120151119

I've been on the same path of thinking. And it is with precedent - recall last year when the SNY employee blew the whistle on the bribe activity etc and it blew up in the news around the same time of the CEO xchange.
What an interesting ride.

"whew, thanks Sanofi for allowing us to continue with our current sub-optimal practices for much longer than we could have otherwise... we owe you one"

If we are going forward, those Sanofi reps that are advocates will need a place to work. Jump ship and let's get this going.
I'd like to see a "sell to eat" sales model for the reps. Let them make double their current salaries or more if they sell at volume but no draw or base salary to ride the train.
I've seen this work miracles in other industries, but I'm just shooting my mouth off - this could be impractical in BP
