Focus on patient and not on endos..... Just support endos but reduce a lot customer promotion costs
It can be on drugs too not only on retailers.
I am working in Shopping Centre area and I remember very well since 2008 (start of crysis) reducing a lot Shopping Centre MKT budgets. Automatically We started using Facebook and social media. The effect was quite immediate and not expected. Less costs (much and much less costs) and Promotion improvement specially in catchment area.... During the period our main MKT/Promotion suppliers, still using their experience from the 90s, lost a lot of their market shares and many disappeared (specially the ones linked to press and media). I can tell You that they were so obsolete that they did not realize even what was happening.....
Not sure it can run with drugs too... But definitly there is a possibility. Just an example: You pay a "creative" to produce a nice picture of some Afrezza user then start sending out through social..... If You are lucky (it's needed) and the creative works well You can have the result that Afrezza in 10 days is known in the whole world !!!!!!!!. You have to support strong with specific info available and activities.... During the 10 days a lot of people will "click" !!!!! And You know that Your prepared info are seen by Millions and Millions of people. For example this further info can include actual users experiences....

no I have never been on a call with sales reps at physician offices. I have had sales reps teach how to use equipment after if was purchased by the purchasing dept. Mnkdmoreshort, as a rule I do not care to be in health care facilities. However, over the years I have been at physicians offices, with children. The rep comes in and is stopped cold at the front desk. They drop off samples. The physicians know the gig, so many drugs, so many reps. So many conflicts of interest. You see a few sales reps drop off samples and assume that scenario applies to all reps? Why would you even write this? You really don't know. I was told by Ray Urbankski. Raymond W. Urbanski, MD, PhD 1990 drug launch; sales reps---> rep to docs---> docs write scripts. The environment has changed. Wow Peppy, you are painting with a very broad brush. I am sure if SNY had a properly resourced dedicated sales force on Afrezza that drove prescriptions your feelings would be different.

Endos will be important, imo. If the Afrezza Diabetes Clinics are to be successful, you'll need endos to represent them. So while you might not need ALL endos, the hopeful scenario is that the clinics will be the place for those wanting to go to get Afrezza who hopefully won't have to wait months to see the endo as there will be RNs etc to help the patient while the Endo who understands Afrezza will be the one to write the script. The key, I hope, is that any patient wanting Afrezza won't have to wait long to get the info and the script as they would if they had to go see the endo directly. The next step is getting better insurance coverage and hopefully that will be address with the repricing of Afrezza.

This is a kind of "pie in the sky" and unorthodox scenario to get sales. I'm not real confident that this team is competent to pull it off, nor that we have the time to succeed without running out of money. I have a dim view of management to be honest.

How legal would it be for someone outside of the company to come up with messages in their own words and with their own experience, use some of the graphs that are available online and provide a link to an afrezza landing page "just to help other people"? Maybe they could get away with saying more than the company and wouldn't have to say any of the negative (the landing page would most likely have to cover the negative)

The paradigm shift in today's market channels compared to the 1990s cannot be overstated. Today, the largest taxi company in the world - Uber - owns no taxis. One of the largest hospitality companies - Airbnb - owns no hotels. And the largest retailer by market cap - Alibaba - owns no inventory. Is it really that crazy to think that a drug company can be a huge success without sales reps? This is one of the most insightful comments I've read in quite a while. Thank you digger63 for your early contribution. I would never suggest that MNKD has in mind a paradigm shifting marketing strategy for Afrezza, but if there ever were a marketplace ripe for one, it must surely be pharmaceutical sales (as well as automobile sales)!

I would never suggest that MNKD has in mind a paradigm shifting marketing strategy for Afrezza, but if there ever were a marketplace ripe for one, it must surely be pharmaceutical sales (as well as automobile sales)! You may be right, but I am not confident THIS Mannkind team has the drive, creativity or competence to pull off a paradigm shift. I say that as a dejected long. I still think once Afrezza price reduction is done, if we can get on insurance plans, that patient demand will drive prescriptions and from there, Physicians seeing improved glucose level lab values/results, the physicians will start to prescribe.
In my thoughts, I have started to discount the need for endos..... they are busy. I like what I have heard from primary care givers more.
