What do you make of his LinkedIn stating that he is working for both MNKD and Amgen? Michael Castagna Chief Commercial Officer, Mannkind Greater Los Angeles AreaBiotechnology Current MannKind Corporation, Amgen Previous Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sandoz Education Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences It's a screw up. If you look at the chronology he never put a termination date on his first role with Amgen when he got his second role there. He seems to change jobs every 3 years or less but if he can turn this around in that time who cares! |

We tend to hire alot of screw-ups here at MNKD - Kinda funny that he just puts "Afrezza" in his commentary under his Mannkind employment date.
Let us pray that this is somehow a move for Amgen to show some interest in 'frezz.

Dude got 400k in salary, 200k annual bonus, 50k signing bonus, 14k car allowance, 1.3 million share options (cha Ching!) Very generous of mnkd. The 50k signing bonus was a nice touch. 1.3 Million share option, now I'd say there is an incentive to drive some sales, The salary, bonus, signing bonus and car allowance are spending change compared to the potential of what these options could do, and for a very large part Castanga has control of were this number ends up. Question. Does his options work the same way you or I would buy a option? Is it a $1.00 strike? $2.00 ect..? Does it have a expiration date? Thank you. |

Generally, employee stock options are 'approved' at the first Board Finance Committee Meeting after date of hire. The options are priced at the closing share price that day. Should there be 'change of control', in most cases, all options, vested or not, are exerciseable.

A friend of mine just told me Amgen is based out of Germany. Amgen's website I am having a little trouble with so I have not been able to open it up. Can any of you confirm or deny this fact that they are from Germany? If this is true I believe this could be our connection 2 selling Afrezza overseas. If this has been talked about in another thread I apologize in advance. I was looking for this but did not find it on the message board. If it has been talked about please direct me to the post.

Amgen is not German. They have been headquartered in Thousand Oaks, CA since the beginning. They have subsidiary offices in other countries.

It started in California. With that being said still Amgen would be a great strategic partner for overseas sales |

I would recommend phoning and asking to be put in touch with the appropriate executive, but what do I know. It just seems to me that email spam filters would be likely to remove any emails advertising an unsolicited 'business deal'. |
