FWIW , I just sent an email , like I said I've become jaded (slightly ) so I'll be pleasantly surprised if 60 minutes shows interest in the story of Alfred Mann & Mannkind . I hate to say it but the Networks seem to be bought & paid for and we see what " they " want us to see but I'd Love to be wrong ! I gave links to Afrezzauser , Afrezza down under & Afrezza just Breathe ... Ironically, I'm not holding my breath for a reply ,) but perhaps they haven't all sold their Souls .... Bought and paid for is probably accurate - How many drug commercials do you see on the tele these days? Especially in the diabetes space. I'm sure they wouldn't want a 60 minute piece on Afrezza though I think it would be an outstanding segment for sure.

Perhaps we could obtain some media attention through new age "alternative media" channels such as YouTube channels/videos done by RT, Alex Jones, Young Turks, etc...? Some of these new media channels get tens of thousands of page views when they run a story, and they would be more open to consider such a saga. The overall story would lead to numerous videos to cover the entire tale and I think they'd find it interesting. And they definitely lean more toward the conspiracy theory side of things. Just thinking out loud...

It's all about the audience. What is the story? You cannot make a segment out of a string of disjoint pieces which what is being offered. There has to be a single point that the segment can be hung off. So - Wall Street corruption? Been there, done that. Pharmas suppression of Mannkind? Unprovable so it will never run. Wonder drug? That could be said of a string of new drugs, no audience appeal.
Cold calling companies with suggestions for segments is a complete waste of time unless you have something that will catch and hold a large audience. Even then it's a stretch as they get hundreds of cold calls a days usually they don't even get looked at (amongst others companies I worked at a major news agency in the past).

Have to agree with the Hippie on this one. Not enough provable, public resounding story on this - YET. Now. That said. If someone could work directly with MNKD management on the real story, with NDA in place for agreement to release at the right time - it could be one of the best scoops ever. And this material would take a while to script and package. Someone ought to be getting to work on this now ....

How about the life story of Al Mann and all the good things that he has done to improve the lives of many? The story is written, someone needs to tell it.

And one would want to see him succeed. Imagine ending the story where it is now .... Give it just a little longer ; )
