Last week I wrote the below, Googled email addresses of my local newspaper and TV stations and sent out the below to them. I figure even if they don't do a story on Afrezza, they are likely to have coworkers, friends and relatives that are unaware of Afrezza and would pass on the word as I have been to diabetics I know and have been unaware of it.
"I've been reading much about a not long ago FDA approved insulin for diabetics that tests show very significantly reduces A1C levels which is very important towards fending off complications to eyes, kidneys, the nervous system.... It is a fast acting insulin and In addition it purportedly helps to avoid the low blood sugar crash caused by too much insulin from shots. On top of this it is administered with a very small inhaler and thus avoids and helps to avoid the need for injections. It's powder formula is not susceptible to spillage or refrigeration in the way other insulins are - thus making it also easy to travel with. The drug is called Afrezza. It is made by Mannkind. It appears that after over a year on the market insurance companies are more anf more adding it to their formularies. Just thought I’d pass it on as it sounds like a blessing for many and perhaps you might want to do a news story on it. You can go to Mannkind's website or even YouTube to check it out."
Anyone not think this is a god idea?

We desperately need localized tv commercials .. Target certain populations and for now use only local tv stations, much cheaper to use..

What can we do to help? I know, like them on twitter and Facebook! Repost what they say. Spread the word of Afrezza. Post in a manner that gets seen by potential diabetics using # hashtags. Example: $MNKD Great anecdotal comment on YMB about #Afrezza.why eventually it will be the standard #T1D #t2D treatment

Nobody likes being blatantly sold to, especially when it's because they have a medical condition. Let's not alienate the people.

Diabetics react badly to investors telling them what is good for them (even if it is). Pharmas are largely regarded as profiteering on diabetes.

What? ? agedhippie is saying that targeting diabetics is reducing them to "customers" rather than human beings with a disease. I still think it'd be cool if more people like Matt from Australia made videos targeting "the people" with an exciting opportunity to help them. Don't have to sell them anything, just share amazing results and the freedom that it could bring through better health.

It is free advertising, but of very limited reach.

I can't believe we are having this same argument again! If I was a diabetic I would pray to God someone told me about Afrezza! That being said, like the poster who took his dreamboat out and used it in a restaurant if front of his diabetic friend. Actions speak louder than words! Soon people will be seen doing this more and more:-)

Just reposting positive factual information without editorial from me. Not into anything but information users post. I'm not a doctor or diabetic so I can't make any comments or claims. I don't comment on financial issues when I share that information.

This is 2016. Twitter and Facebook is a free way to share information!
