A post by Rick H on stock twits. Cision top 10 consumer magazines that focus on Health and fitness. Rankings are based on audited circulation numbers. 1) Health Monitor 4,667,150 2) Medizines Healthy Living 3,191,090, etc. September issue of Health Monitor has picture of Laura ** and a story about her use of Afrezza. Mike C. has mentioned her on twitter. She's a celebrity but I don't know her. It appears he took his numbers from a January 2011 Cision report. See: www.cision.com/us/2011/01/top-10-fitness-health-magazines/More recently, Health Monitor itself claims: www.healthmonitornetwork.com/node/84"A mass audience of more than 40 million patients/caregivers. Distributed in 120,000 healthcare offices around the country, Health Monitor Network magazines are designed to facilitate dialogue between patients and their healthcare professionals" I imagine the 120,000 offices is reasonably accurate, whereas the 40 million eyeballs is a wild eyed optimistic guesstimate. So, all in all, perhaps the 4.6 million number is still more or less valid if we want to estimate how many people ever glance at an issue. Of course, many (most?) of them are not in the target audience for Afrezza. To put it into perspective, how many forum readers here ever read Health Monitor? Personally, I never heard of it before this thread.

I didn't realize this Laura Kronen is on the BoD of JDRF. already said it before.. she is for the local georgia chapter along with 30+ others. www.jdrf.org/georgia/leadership/how many such local chapters does jdrf has? Why are you trying to persuade it into a bad thing? What does it matter how many chapters JDRF has? Or how many BoD are affiliated with each? Seems to me, that logic would suggest that they have so many because the demand to participate and be involved is so high.

It was a local Fox station and no not yet according to Laura's last tweet. It aired in Houston on Sept 15. Not sure if/when it will air in atlanta.

Truthfully it doesn't happen enough around here. If you were to say you didn't know Lisa Altman was on the BoD of JDRF than you wouldn't have been corrected. And nobody is saying it's a bad thing it's incredible exposure that she is so on board with Afrezza and so involved with JDRF.

I didn't look at the JDRF website, I just quickly browsed her LinkedIn page which just states she is a BoD for JDRF. Maybe you should correct her.

I wasn't really interested in knowing how many... just posed the question so people can look up 👀. Thanks od Both statements are very telling. The answers are more useful. Now, consider that the number is finite at around 100. How many reps does MNKD have? ~70 should be able to hit all chapters in a few days...

open her tweet that you posted right click on image view image you can read all the article I can't get it to in enlarge. But here is what she said: Her tweet says almost as much about inhaled insulin as the article does. Here is the relevant big excerpt from the article: "Laura ... is now using an inhaled form of insulin that helps her avoid injections." That's it. The rest of the article is about being diagnosed with diabetes, trying oral medications, writing a book, being a life coach, etc.

So much hype and excitement over nothing. Sad!!!! (To borrow a phrase.)
