Geez, let's get Jim Comey on this, he has some time... obviously, I feel the same way.

But it is all just signs and there is no facts to prove anything other than people with good long time high up positions with big companies are leaving Amgen and Bristol Myers (Miller) etc to join MNKD so they believe enough to leave security for potential. Except for the last 2+ years, Amgen has been laying people off, cutting salaries of many high level execs, and closing facilities. So arguably many of the 'high up' (and other) people leaving Amgen may not have not had this security you mention. (Some high level people may have been induced to leave due to generous severance packages on offer.) Bristol Myers has also been laying people off and closing facilities, though perhaps not as much as Amgen has (IDK).

However, the above statement to my eyeballs would mean AMGEN needs another product, a good one. hmmmm
(Not sure I believe the monoclonal antibody treatment story. I would rather take my chances eating only green and orange.)

The Amgen 'thing' about layoffs and salary cuts for some high level execs is true. Just google it. Here are some starter links for you. www.vcstar.com/story/money/business/2017/03/27/amgen-announces-layoffs-and-relocations-thousand-oaks/99688980/www.biospace.com/News/amgen-ceo-gets-14m-payday-but-colleagues-who-took/371331Of course, you are entitled to your opinion and I guess it is worth as much as mine is here. But I'm not sure the above means Amgen needs another product. Last quarter, sales missed analyst forecasts by $100 million but that was on total sales of over $5.5 BILLION. Even if it does need a new product, it has them in-house. It's also seeking to improve labels on some of its big sellers.

Seems ironic that some make the argument that AMGN, BM and possibly other BPs have been laying people off yet little old MNKD, with impending bankruptcy (sarcasm), is hiring them...just saying.

mnkdfann, opps. I believe you amgen has been laying off. The "true" thingy I question is the acquisition thinking. Sometimes my typing is unclear. Sorry.

You might be confusing the board directors with the great herd of directors who are middle management.

Yes I know there is a herd and no actual numbers of vps. I just found it amusing that we tend to focus on stupid sh%$ far too often.

I think there's quite a bit more to judging financial health than noticing money getting spent. I googled determining financial health of a company and I found www.investopedia.com/articles/fundamental/04/063004.asp

Its not stupid when people are making claims that may influence others. Claims that are absent any common sense or logic. I am not sure why one would find that amusing.

Claims that infuence are not the problem. If a claim is made then good go research it and validate on your own time. We are adults for hell sake. We should be spending time promoting awareness and educate each other on what shareholders can do to help mnkd succeed.

I only looked at your first link and then Amgen's website, but I have come to the conclusion you did not read your own sources of information. • From your first source: Link to your source: www.vcstar.com/story/money/business/2017/03/27/amgen-announces-layoffs-and-relocations-thousand-oaks/99688980/• Amgen's current job opening on their website include everywhere from the new facility in Tampa, FL to Greece, the Netherlands, and Taiwan. There are far too many for me to waste time and count but here is the link to them: www.amgen.jobs/#3• On a side note—I wonder whatever happened with that Amgen study on bear hibernation and insulin resistance? The bears (as well as other hibernating mammals flowing with the circadian rhythm) have the ability to maintain normal insulin secretion after waking from hibernation and not only that, their adipose tissue plays a significant role, as well as the cellular Clock and the natural circadian rhythm of insulin secretion. Amgen had this redacted and their own scientists were largely the bulk of co-authors. Cool nonetheless because I see the lead author still researchers it. Anyways, I do not believe in this Amgen Theory, but I do believe they have an unspoken alliance. It is obvious Amgen and the foreign BP like Sanofi hate each other and are racing for global dominance.

It might sound crazy that there is some kind of Mnkd/Amgen ailliance in the works and to say it's going to happen not knowing the facts . But it is certainly much more CRAZIER to allude to the fact that it could not happen at all !!!
