With all the places he checked.. How many Afrezza scripts were being filled? And has anyone else asked at their pharmacy? I live in a backwards state. I called the university and large endo's in the metropolis a year and a half ago, none of them were prescribing afrezza. I think I know the answer in this location. We like to delude ourselves here and think we are above the rest. The random sample we have is good, because it was a San Diego pharmacy? California seems to be ahead of the rest of us. I see your point so many times over sports. Believe me. (Don't ask, don't tell) Let's see what healthcare becomes after the changes from hell to increase the returns of the private health insurance industry paid for in political campaign donations and hate. I will stop.
Peppy, Sadly your correct. Our only hope is that Afrezza gets enough viral visibility and patients demand their doctors prescribe it. That is why the company needs to really watch their dollars and investment wisely on getting seen by the public. Being cash strapped does not help them get the job done. They need something big to happen so they get the cash they need to be seen. Chicken or Egg. Which comes first. I sure hope that The board and Management can pull a rabbit out of their ? Hat or A_s.....

I've asked perhaps fifty pharmacists all over the country this past year. I make it a habit when passing by. From most saying "never heard of it" for much of 2016, this year it has swung to at least half saying "yes", some immediately and with a positive comment...

This is why I have hoped for a deal with that maybe one country on the planet that: Is financially motivated to improve public health outcomes (socialized medicine) and not profits (aka: US) Views diabetes as a significant health challenge Large enough target population Has the financial means to pay a premium for medication Does not have high regulatory/political barriers to entry (see also, EMA) Not apt to pirate technology to avoid paying Does this country exist? Canada?

Though we have all known the very poor script numbers for a long time. I'm presuming even if I were a pharmacist it wouldn't have improved my poor processing of the information available. I have a friend that is a pharmacist that I told about Afrezza, and after he checked around he said he wouldn't invest in it. With all the places he checked.. How many Afrezza scripts were being filled? And has anyone else asked at their pharmacy? This was only 2 or 3 months after the SNY deal was inked. Not sure how many other pharmacists and doctors he inquired with. He's a fairly active investor in health and pharma so he was motivated to educate himself with what resources he had. I've forgotten exactly what he said but it basically was that Afrezza was going to meet resistance in the market. I could have saved myself a heck of a lot of money if I'd listened to him. Don't know if I could get him interested in looking into it again at this point. I've moved since then so don't see him as often now.

Next year they may all know:-) No doubt awareness is turning up and there are items coming soon that will further help. This time next year we will have a new label( that will help formularies), clinical trials proving superiority, peds approval, and maybe even improved Medicare coverage. The markets don't look out that far. They see dilution and low sales.

I'm assuming this was an exam room setting since you were talking to the doctor? This was screen on wall... and the sound was on? or was it muted, or perhaps an ad not meant to have sound?
