No idea. But the stocktwits board was saying the 3.5 million shares dumped at once was the Russell index funds and the rest was the ones that mimic it. I don't know how we find out for sure. I'm kind of shocked the support held up as well as it did with that kind of volume dump considering buy volume lately. I'm guessing blackrock sold it from the index and then bought it back with other funds that they own that don't track. Has to be something like that. There aren't that much retail selling etc

From another thread: Sorry deleted my post by accident when trying to edit it.
The Russell 3000 only Held 3,679 Shares as of 5/31/2017 According to: advisors.vanguard.com/VGApp/iip/site/advisor/investments/portfoliodetails?fundId=1854&compositionTabBox=1#hold
Many of us have more shares than that, it was a drop in the bucket. Read more: mnkd.proboards.com/thread/8109/inflection-point#ixzz4kxF8wOXy

that kind of volume, 10 million shares in 15 minutes looks like institutional sale. The price $1.51 is what mnkd had been trading for weeks. most likely the agreed upon price.
That's what I come up with. that do you all think?

I saw that it was only 3589 shares too but then others believe there are 3 additional 0's at the end making it 3,589,000 shares which is about same as the big bulk in one trade right at 4 pm. So who knows.

So who had the shares to sell and who bought them do you think ? If it wasn't Russell index what do you think it was? I think it was the Russell yes. the Russell plus, I do not know. My understanding, is institutional trades are negotiated between institutional traders. if roughty 4,000,000 shares were from the Russell. it looks like an additional 6,000,000 shares also passed through. additionally 2,500,000 after the close of the tape.
Besides the Russell. who do I think it is.... the sinister side of me would say, inappropriately, Deerfield probably involved. My hope is (since the devil in me wants to point delusional figures) if they shorted us all the way down, I hope they hopped on and bought here to ride us up. Has our insurance changed? did they get word on the label due out in august... I can only hope, that the cruel, cruel world decides to hop on and giddy up. Have I been drinking to ?

Ah yes the pennant flag pattern this looks good. That 1.75 mark will be crunched next stop 2.50. Love the pennant..

Perhaps much of the buying was from a fund or others covering some of their shorts.
