Anyone else find it interesting that with some imminent material events, there's almost no open interest or activity in options for Sept & Oct? Well, I think among people here, most of us that play options have long ago learned that material events are hard to predict in time as well as direction. It may seem like a "make or break" is coming, but I certainly don't discount management's ability to do another can kick. I did buy a smattering of Jan 2018 on the pending "event", but that could also capture 2018 formulary changes even if we get a financial can kick.

Did you purchased that in the regular trading hours? I think the real time quote page shows the last price of the regular trading hours. If you purchased after hours, that will only affect the price of after hours, which is shown in a separate page. www.nasdaq.com/symbol/mnkd/after-hours

5th straight green day, we continue to see slow and steady accumulation and short covering. This is a very healthy rise in pps without the wild swings of day traders. This could easily continue all the way up to the split price but at some point we will need some news or update to the fundamentals to keep the run going.

No one in my gym trades their own stocks. I've had so many people ask me to help them open a account, and learn how to trade. So I'm giving a class once a week. Anyway, this one women tells me that her friend, a nurse, and her doctor husband are coming next week. Why? They want to learn how to invest because they have heard about MNKD and want to invest in the company. Never have I met anyone who knew about Afrezza or MNKD in my town. Just saying:-)

Hope all your securities' licenses are up to date, Sports. You know what they say about the investment acumen of doctors. I'm sure you will emphasize using stock message boards as the number 2 tool in stock investment, second only to listening to you. I look forward to seeing you pupils posting here. Gosh, I hope you make them some money!

Gosh, I hope you make them some money! Ha, they will not be on any stock board. And advised against SA. I have a good app for legit news on companys. And a charts app. All the tools at TD:-) They will learn how to place a trade. The difference between stocks and options. Be given trading books for homework. Learn discipline and how to find their own grove. Make their own rules and follow them. I talked to the bank manger at Wells last Friday, and no kidding.....he didn't even know that one option let's you control 100 shares of stock. ( I was telling him why I barrow money from them for 0% for 15 months. Use it in the market and then pay it back all a once later before the interest starts.)

Sold my Jan 2019 $1.50 calls, my Jan 2018 $1.00 calls and bought 70% as many shares (Had to add some cash on top of the proceeds). Cost basis = $.67 per share, and no expiry! Takes advantage of a successful trade and lowers the volatility. Not a huge position, but the price is right, and makes up for the risk in the investment. rockstarrick - how's that for a bit of optimism?
