We need a 1:10
At least that would get us above 5$ (at least at today's price).

That is my question why not request an extension? The unfortunate thing is the majority vote is controlled by the Foundation so it will be rammed down our throats like all other decisions.

I've had the lynching rope for my picture for far to long. It's starting to make me depressed.. even if it's appropriate. I'm thinking of change to something like liane's kitty gif. Or, when/if scripts rise, I'll change it to an 'up arrow'. That's upbeat, right? I'm not really feeling it today. sean we will send you some puppies :-)

I'm sure they'll try an extension. But they need the split approved "just in case". I don't think the extension request is guaranteed, there is some persuasion involved.

Matt,
what happens if the stock completely collapses and even the 10:1 isn't enough to keep it above $1. How quickly can they change the RS on a proxy to say 20:1. I am concerned that after today, if the stock tanks more than anyone anticipates, we get delisted without even doing the RS successfully.
Thank you,

I'm hoping the share price doesn't go down much. The psychology behind a RS is bad but the RS itself doesn't change the value of the company. It doesn't change the value of an investment ... however ... in a 1:10 split 50K shares becomes 5K shares.... the upside potential that investors once saw isn't there anymore... Also, another of my big concerns was the lack of confidence shown by Mike and Matt.. that didn't help.. I suppose its a difficult position to be in... I cant imagine it ... however I'm very very concerned .. I thot it looked like an RS was coming, but I guess I didn't expect to hear it today, so I wasn't at all prepared for this... I have no one else to blame but myself..

Didn't listen yet, but pretty easy to tell what was said, more or less. They had to do this, just in case the stock doesn't get up to a buck in time. I mean, it ought to, easily, right? With a bigger, better sales force and all, how can we miss? But if things just don't quite go according to plan, it's nice to have the R/S in our back pocket, right?
Looks like Lucy pulled the ball out on Charlie again! Haha, joke's on us!
Can't wait for the hype and run-up to next conference call, it's sure to be the winner we've all been expecting.

Agree. IMO this will be the main topic, probably with some updates on Epi, label change. Guess we will not hear about pediatric trial, other applications or financing. And the market is reacting to this. After this the market does not believe that there will be exciting news today: Despite the Biotech market is going up (BIB is positive), MNKD is going down. Disc.: Too long and too much in red to sell. Not so fast...No offense, I gotta disagree here — Far too informative of a PR about the main two topics it covered (new titration package and sales force) to continue on with an ever greater explanation of the explanation just given, which IMO, was more than suffice (what more do I really need to know about the new titration package and employees than I was already told?) mango thinks there is more still more to come. So mango, the R/S was what was to be announced. Looks as if I was too optimistic. Although I do not see much harm done by this technical change in nominal numbers of shares.

I finally couldn't take it anymore and sold the last of my shares (the final 18% of my holdings) on monday.
Actually...i kept 500 shares to tell me how smart i was to keep some for when the turnaround happens

Why are they not filling for an extension? Perhaps they are, but they need shareholder approval to move immediately if the extension is denied. I believe March 13 is the deadline without an extension. No, they would have said if they were filing for an extension because it's material. I expect they have had informal talks with NASDAQ about an extension and do not think they would get it or they would have filed already. Right now they are so close to the wire a R/S is the only option. So why the comment about R/S "if necessary"? Because it preserves the option not to split if a miracle happens. That is not going to happen though and this will split.

Why even have this conference call at all we had a better chance of getting over a dollar if they stayed quite. Is Matt deliberately doing this? For seven years, MNKD management has never had a motivating nor promising CC. No news to increase the pps. It happens so often that it almost appears as intentional. If I did not believe in AFREZZA'S potential, nor have invested a strong six figures, (that is not worth getting out now) I would pull out now and wait for something concrete from them. It was another here's what we've accomplished thus far, and soon, we will have some promising news. Same ole story! That has gotten old! Filing for a reverse split from "a position of strength" Bull Sh&$, Matt!! A position of strength would be Upon FDA approval of a Revolutionary treatment for Diabetes in 2014, with a pps of over $10.00 to be trading much higher than that almost three years later! Not facing delisting from Nasdaq!! While we probably will survive it, It is yet another mountain to climb! No news about RLS, nothing at all about Amgen, or with anything about implimenting Dexcoms CGM with AFREZZA! Or if they are even in talks with Dexcom at all about the future, or the progress with JDRF and most importantly, NO Q &A!!
BS. No Q and A!!! Yes, they are making progress, Eighty new employees, etc. but what is our current monthly nut? Is it still 10 mil, even after selling the building (no more utilities, mortgage, maintainance) Payroll has to have increased, so what effect does that have on our financial position? As an investor, these points are extremely important!! Disgusted!! Dead money for another six months at least! I guess this is why God made Makers Mark!! Thank God for that!

I have no one else to blame but myself.. Mike seems like a really good guy from my observation. I hope he was not as dejected as he sounded and it was more that he deeply regretted being the bearer of bad news. I would agree, though, it's not helping that the fire he brought to the company at the beginning is starting to fade a little. We're gonna need all of it from here. I hope it's rooted more in exhaustion than in discouragement. One can be fixed much more easily than the other.

I don't know if they have enough time to make a miracle happen before March. But if it does, obviously I won't complain. But we all understand also that to keep the company strong this may need to happen. I do think the market is overreacting. Overall the company is in a better position to sell Afrezza than a month ago. Let's hope it actually works.
