Should have been a two pronged approach NY Lefty. They totally dropped the ball on this. IMO Its more complicated than that. That's the problem. Its more like a 5 prong approach. That's why it take so much time and money to be successful. All 5 pronges must improve to get scripts up, imo. My 5 prong approach... 1. DTC Advertising for awareness 2. *Educate Endos(type 1) 3. *Educate PCPs(type 2) 4. Improve Label/Clinical Data 5. Increase Insurance Coverage *Educate doctors to understand roadblocks... 1. Spirometry test (portable, cheap) 2. Dosing/Titration (samples, sizes, etc) 3. Mannkind Cares (Insurance hurdles) 4. PK/PD Profile (differences from RAAs) The problem is the competition -- mostly humalog and novolog -- doesn't need to do anything to raise awareness or educate or improve their label or increase insurance coverage. They are, in effect, kings of the hill. And doctors don't need to spend either time or effort understanding spirometry, titration, insurance hurdles and PK/PD profiles to use the competition. And, at this point, afrezza simply has little more than being needle free that sales reps can use to motivate doctors to use it versus the competition.

I have one, Patient Awareness
The Doctors need to be asked by 3-4 of their patients before they pay attention. IMO That's the way they will hear about Afrezza. Once they do some DD it should start the ball rolling.
