Any thoughts on recovery of 70 cents from Monday's close? Do we expect this to enter $7 and remain there for coming months?

Other than the obvious, someone wants to buy shares more than someone wants to sell them, the possible reasons would be:
1.Some shorts have thrown in the towel and are starting to cover.
2.Institutions have taken more interest and are buying.
3.Future partner/buyer of MNKD is buying shares up to the point where they are required to disclose their percentage per SEC rules.
4.Spiro continues to buy big.

1 and 4 are certainties; not so sure of 2 and 3. Certainly, the Brinson Patrick (of whom I had never heard) initiation of coverage with the $12 price target brought some new folks in. Not to mention a big time rebound in the biotech index today!

Liane, I totally misspoke in that post, the correct way for me to have phrased it is: "...Brinson Patrick (of whom I may have heard but of whom I have no memory)..." At the least, you may be seeing some suspicious vehicles parked outside your place, maybe see some of the same faces over and over again in supermarkets, those would be members of the "Spiro Squad." |

It took the market 24 - 48 hours to realize that the 90 day delay is further confirmation of approval (seriously, would the fda need 90 more days to decline?). Also, prior to the delay being announced, the market was discounting the stock for the uncertainty surrounding a possible delay. IMO, (and as crazy as it sounds) the market would prefer a July 15 certainty over an April 15 maybe.
What is more amazing to me is that MNKD is not trading much higher than 7. MNKD was trading in the 7's from June through August of last year. No matter what your estimate was for % likely approval in June - August, it has to be substantially higher today. What's more important is that the probability for another CRL is substantially less now than in June - August. That's important considering another CRL would have meant virtual bankruptcy.
Unless we are hit w/ another round of dilution (which indirectly signals problem w/ partner negotiations) I believe we will go well over $8 prior to July 15.

Liane, Baba has been on my watch list along with Harshal, for several weeks now. . Actually, I was very close to sending the boys over to have a little chat with Baba. One more slip up by you and I will have to put you on that list too. To be truthful, a couple of days before the AdCom vote, I had to place myself on the list for a few days.

If you consider the dilution between last July and now, the current price of $7 is almost $8.5 (in case where dilution was absent)
Significant dilution from last CRL is certainly going reduce our profit potential drastically
So in my opinion , we are at decent stage if we can stay above $7.
