... They have worked out the kinks and now have Medicare, VA, Managed Care coverage, so now, the Table is now set. ... I didn't remember remember any mention of VA. What time was that mentioned? And as for Medicare, as you pointed out it was clearly stated 25% coverage currently, and seemed to imply no meaningful improvement until 2018. "Table is now set" seems a bit of an overstatement as to where our coverage stands... maybe half the table is set (better than 6 months ago, though). I assume that "table is now set" is your own commentary and not meant to represent something Mike said? That becomes confusing when personal commentary views are intermingled with what was said on the call. VA is mentioned just like quoted at 14:40. "Table is now set" was Mike's words at 14:43. His exact words (as best as I can decipher) are: "And I only highlight these facts because we really spent the second half working out the kinks in order to scale up. Had we hired a hundred people and been working through all those kinks, it wouldn't have been fair to the employees as well as the doctors and patients to be working all those things out in parallel. And, now that we have Medicare coverage, we have VA coverage, we have a lot more Managed Care coverage, so the table is now set, and I'll highlight some of those things in a second". So, there is no commentary from me. Those are all Mike's words. I took that as meaning that he has things in place good enough now that he is ready to START SELLING!, and those sales should get some TRACTION!!!

I listened to it a second time and yes, indeed that is in there (apologies for potential implication it wasn't). I think in listening to it the first time I was still digesting Matt's comments and didn't absorb some of Mike's. That particular comment does seem to be a bit of spin. Later it is clearly stated that Medicare coverage is currently only at 25%, increasing to something over 50% in 2018. Seems to still be a partially set table from perspective of payer coverage. I know few name brand drugs have 100% coverage, but by my rough calculation looking at formularylookup.com, Afrezza is hanging somewhere around 50% overall (perhaps a little over) whereas Toujeo introduced at same time has coverage for about 80%. The latter probably is a much easier sell when trying to get doctors to prescribe. I do wish there were some better source of information regarding payer coverage. What is the real national number for % with access of all people with some form of health coverage? Is Mannkind trying to target payers regionally... is that possible... are there some states that have significantly better than 50% coverage? I'd prefer some hard data from management rather than "table is set". This would seem to be data MNKD must be monitoring. Certainly it would be important for the sales reps to be able to inform doctors about the estimated level of coverage for that doctor's own practice. Regarding VA, does anyone know what level of coverage is currently in place... is that 25% like Medicare or 100% (with PA/step or not)? How set is that portion of the table?
