yes, we are going to zero in on the transcript there. vaguely sounded like we have it, it can not be announced.
You'll probably have a greater sense than me after reading the transcript, but the impression I got was that nothing was finalized, but that Matt felt confident that it would go through. Kind of sounds like they are in the finalizing stages. And hence the delay in starting the conference call...a la the last delay...lol..he was waiting and hoping the papers will be signed. |

The only positives I heard from the CC was when Matt said "stay tuned" about the pending International filing; and when Mike emphasized how the little green line is now "consistently" trending upward and surpassed the blue line... however, the slope of that little green line still remains too shallow for my comfort. I'm sure glad I'm not colored blind... I might have missed something.

So, we can expect a correction down until the Middle East deal is announced. Not sure anyone knows. I'd point to past experience for my explanation. I think it will trend down until something is announced simply because that's been the way it has always been. Much has been promised, little has been delivered. It's impossible to know because it all hinges on how much the market believes this will actually happen and then how much it will be worth. For me? I'm still waiting on the sidelines for now. I may not make as much, but I'm also nearly guaranteed not to lose anything, either. I'll shave a few grand off of my earnings for security. |

Which is good but seems like everything else is just "wait and see"...again. If Novo is also producing an Ultra rapid insulin and they too get that designation, it could make the label change insignificant. I respectfully disagree. The PK/PD data from EMA shows that Fiasp is twice as fast as Novolog, but that still WAY slower than Afrezza. |

If they mentioned it in the conference call, I would think there would be something real, I would hope.

The run up sounds like it was because of the "middle east" comment. Someone expected the deal to be done and announced on this call. I don't think they expected it to be announced on the call. |

As we're seeing now, being in the same class as RAA's is doing nothing for us because there are other options that docs like better with no reason to choose Afrezza over them. A saving grace would be if this other ultra rapid insulin behaves similarly and paves the way for an understanding of how Afrezza works, but even then, until a long term safety test is completed, I see little reason for a label change to improve sales if we're not the only drug in that class. Actually I think it potentially could be good to have a company with huge marketing budget trying to sell the concept of needing a faster insulin. That might get doctors thinking about switching patients from the traditional three subq insulins to the new "ultra rapid" class. If it's just MNKD that is "ultra rapid" it may still get ignored by doctors. |
