It's arbitrage deal somebody has been accumulating shares. The company may finally have an activist investor who is about to be revealed. Perhaps hostile to current management and aegis was hired to convince shareholders to hang tough with management. SEC Legal filings to show 10% or more ownership released the next day or two,or the morning of the meeting. You don't see the heavy churning we saw last week if something wasn't going on. Last year we had Henry Orlasky make his proposal. But he didn't control enough shares to get the board attention. But now perhaps somebody has got enough shares and will reveal themselves in the next 48 to 72 hours. Plus these guys already own a large piece of the other inhaled insulin maker Dance so why not add Mannkind to their portfolio as well. |

But most of us did not get cards? I haven't received a card either and have been accumulating shares over the last 6 or so years (unfortunately i'm so under water a snorkel wouldn't help). I have shares in multiple accounts. I have never lent them out so not sure if that has anything to do with cards or not. |

Me too, I once held shares in the 6 figures, post split not so much.
No card for me.

I made the 1st post here about the yellow postcards that was deleted. I for one am happy to have activist investors get involved and play HARD BALL with management. In my opinion (and in that of the late Dr. Mann) we have potentially the greatest medical product of all time, and as of yet we have done an incredibly poor job of monetizing this asset into cash, which is after all what we are all here for. And management has done little to nothing on leveraging the Technosphere drug/device nanoparticle technology that could and should have also provided a financial windfall by this late date. It is time for production and results--PERIOD! It's time for return on investment or at least return of investment. This whole situation is heartbreaking.
