Interesting developments. Guess they purposely misspelled Andrea's name. It happens. We have this recent joint patent application published on June 13, 2017 by MannKind and Torrey Pines. The original was dated 2012. It's good news MannKind is actually doing something in Brazil (vs. the BS with Israel). TS pain formulations are certainly worth a longer look... I just wish we had a better idea what happened with Torrey, we have zero data to evaluate...

I just wish we had a better idea what happened with Torrey, we have zero data to evaluate... Torrey Pines had this patent application published on May 4, 2017 (and Richard Houghten is a listed inventor): COMPOUNDS AND METHODS OF TREATING NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERSThat patent specifically highlights many of the "tin foil hat" facts concerning which MOAs are harmful and the pathways involved in certain neurodegenerative processes—to be more exact—the patent specifically mentions the same exact neurodegenerative processes and pathways Metformin has been shown to be play a role in. So I guess that makes the folks at Torrey Pines a tin foil hatters too, huh? The patent also mentions several thiazole tethered piperazine type compounds, which correlates with several of the compounds in this patent of MannKind's: IRE-1α inhibitorsSince Richard Houghten created the tea-bag method for synthesizing peptides, has a company called Brilliant Biosciences Inc. which is dedicated to all things G-protein coupled receptors (hello cannabinoids), has an Alzheimer's Research Institute and an Arthritis and Chronic Pain Research Institute, is the founder of Torrey Pines, is an inventor on numerous MannKind patents, and is involved in exactly what we were told RLS was doing—I am gonna go ahead and say Richard Houghten seems highly likely to be apart of RLS.

Very interesting. It also seems that both Brilliant BioSciences and RLS really like forest backgrounds

Apparatus and method for simulating inhalation efforts
Abstract: An inhalation simulation system is provided for use with inhalers in particular breath-powered dry powder inhalers. The simulation system can recreate a patient's inhalation profile obtained with an inhaler adapted with a sensing and monitoring device for the detection of characteristic signals generated from the inhaler in use, which signals are transmitted to a computer with an algorithm which is configured to analyze the signals and generate new signals via a transmitter to actuate the inhalation simulation system component parts so that a subject's inhalation profile is replicated simultaneously or in real-time, or stored for later use. Methods of measuring the performance of inhalers are also provided.

So, Andrea-Leone still working at/for Mnkd? very interesting.... This has happened and explained many a time before. The authors were working at MNKD when the patents were filed.
