because I had over 50,000 shares before rs and now I have 50k/5. I hope Al Mann Group and Al's family thinks the same way. Ok, I see. But it does not make any difference as long as PPS rises in proportion. If you bought at $5, if the PPS rises to $25, then you are exactly at where you were.

I emailed fidelity asking how to loan my MNKD shares. They replied that they would contact me if I had any stock in something hard to borrow. Ummm, I have 300k shares of MNKD, is that not in demand?? What am I missing?! Oh well. Decided not to loan anyways after Nate Pile recommended against it yesterday. If you have 300,000 shares I would like you to adopt me.

I am wondering for how long and for how high will the rate go considering current pps? There could be 2 outcomes: 1: we get rate 75-100% until end of the year and buy out at $50 per share or 2: pps climbs to $25 and they do split back to original number of shares Why do you want to split back once you climb to $25? Really sees no reason for that. Stocks trading above $100 is quite common nowadays. IF it were simple math, well then, no. And you're right. However: Recall that following the reverse split on the roller coaster down to hell, we immediately went down further. Now - if we split back out with momentum carrying up - return might go higher. Tho OTOH - having a much smaller float improves the chance of not getting shorted to hell again.

The rate of 60% remains despite the run-up. I was anticipating a change.

The rate of 60% remains despite the run-up. I was anticipating a change. But they are paying 60% of $6-7, instead of 60% of $1-2. Huge difference.

The rate of 60% remains despite the run-up. I was anticipating a change. The stock is so volatile I would also have expected the rate to change... though I can't say which direction I expected the rate to go... up indicating more shorts piling on or down indicating shorts exiting by covering.

thank you sharing your point. However, if you have 50k shares ( as I used to have before split) and pps is $1, you would agree with me that each $1 up ---> your portfolio is $50,000 up. The bottom line is : my only hope here is Al Mann Group, his family, and Michael will do forward split when pps reaches $50 or more. I do collect money from shorts they have been paying to me last 16 months, and all proceeds have been used to buy stock. These days when pps went up so fast, I am sure pps will go down to $4-$5 very soon, Therefore I will wait to buy LEAPs $4 and $5 calls when this happens as now they are very expensive.

well, please read my reply to another poster. I am ok considering that shorts pay me today 54% interest on my shares. I will be buying more using their money as long as they pay. They are the reason I have now 10k instead of 50k shares, so let them pay.

I have shares in Intuitive surgical They just split their stock 3 (three) way from $1,085 to $367.00 I liked them better prior to the split.

Holy crap! Loan rate at IB is 242 % !! The only logical explanation is Big Pharma's shorting for the possibility of a better price on buyout of mnkd. Otoh, how could they all be working together? Only one would be able to aquire mnkd/afrezza. There has never been any logical explanation for it. I used to call it my MannKind Divided. It paid daily so that one could increase their shares.

Fidelity is up 55.125%, not sure what the shorts are paying, but I'm guessing it's getting up there too...

Bouncing off the first Fib retracement level. Stock price appreciation and 70% interest on loaned out shares. Isn't America great!
