Hopefully the label change will attract more Institutional investors & some big time market players with clout that will increase the awareness of MNKD & Afrezza. Long way to go still but things are trending up for us longs....

I love such hope and optimism. But the reality is SALES. Scripts need to rise dramatically, endos need to get on board with label change. There may be some short covering today, but I fear the stock price will return to the price last Friday.

Pretty amazing share price action so far! This is like police on patrol - you never know where you'll be in the next 10 minutes!

I don't know what many of you were expecting right before the call, during the call and after the call, but today's trading easily beat my expectations at all those time periods.
I thought we'd end up red before the call, was more convinced during and immediately after (I call it, "the dead fish" presentation - perhaps harsh in hindsight, but that's the way it hit me, Mike not at his energetic best).
Was very impressed with the subsequent rally and staying power of same! This makes me think a shoe or maybe even a pair may be set to drop in the next 30 days or so. Also, possibly some short covering from people specifically banking on us getting a fat ZERO from the FDA, which we avoided nicely.
Good day to be wrong!

I might have thought the announcement about how many shares might be sold into the market via ATM could have sent price lower... and of course that's a bad spiral to get into. Seems we have enough positive sentiment to resist that... perhaps even be a positive spiral with share price going up and enabling less painful capital raise via ATM. Is the sentiment and demand strong enough to actually absorb the number of shares they are talking about if/when they start using the ATM again.

I am with Mike C. I think MNKD now has the tools to succeed. Better insurance coverage on the way. Table 4 allows differentiation from subq rapid acting analogs.
Here is my thinking. A person gets put on afrezza, probably because they asked. The person has health insurance to cover costs. Their hbA1c goes down more than the label states because the dosage instructions have been improved. The person likes their life with afrezza. The physician sees this. The physician decides to try it on more patients. They too are successful, they like afrezza and feel better. Their HbA1c goes down. The patients are happy and feel better, their hbA1c is making the physician happy. oh, and the patient has lost weight. etc, etc.
People on Afrezza feel better and are willing to fight for it. Remember Sweedee's Dad. Afrezza gets insurance, we win the war. The physicians will need to fall in line. (They did with SSRI's and those things are.... a made up story.)
$2.25, $2.35, $2.50..... $3.10 prices next hard resistance.

Seems we have enough positive sentiment to resist that... perhaps even be a positive spiral with share price going up and enabling less painful capital raise via ATM. Is the sentiment and demand strong enough to actually absorb the number of shares they are talking about if/when they start using the ATM again. I decided long ago that I'm not trading a single share around any event, I'm all or nothing with all of them. However, as we discussed on a different thread, I am trying to trade options based on events....... my strategy for July & August was to accumulate $2 & $2.5 calls for Oct thru Jan, with the opinion that we'd get good news from the FDA, which would be the catalyst for finalizing long term financing and/or distribution deals, as the company has hinted that's what they've been waiting for, and because of hints like the Deerfield debt bump to 10/31.... $3.20 ish has been my short term target. After yesterday,,,, I like what I heard for the long term, but I'm slightly concerned that the financing and/or distribution deals that I thought were imminent based on a better label, are not quite imminent. GREAT move freeing up the ability to move 22mil shares for up to $50mil,,,, but I REALLY hope that's not just to satisfy Deerfield and buy us a few more months to then depend on Afrezza sales to get us the financing and/or distribution deals we really need long term. The very moment MNKD is considered to have a future, be able to survive, then the market cap & share price will take care of itself, instantly!!!! I hope we're not still waiting on script numbers alone, but I guess we'll find out soon.

MNKD real time trade volume, 1,741,755 shares in one hour. 2.70 hit I only saw $2.65. up 25 cents, $2.59. www.nasdaq.com/symbol/mnkd/real-time
the market got the message yesterday.
This insulin is a fine fine insulin.
added: 2,206,780 shares in 1 hour and 15 mins. 2% of shares outstanding. I hope this test of $2.50 holds now, it should, then we see. volume is strong today.
