Can you briefly summarize how they can force shareholders to sell at a particular price? Nothing a hedge fund can do would get my shares at the current price. If they want to accumulate my shares they can only do so by paying much higher price. I think you may be mischaracterizing what Wyckoff actually wrote about. He clearly stated that stock price is based on supply and demand of the shares. His methods were about determining phases of a stock. One accumulates when others are wanting to sell. He was merely showing that often shares go through cycles and if one can determine where in the cycle a stock is you can trade along with others that are helping to drive the cycle, rather than trading with those unwittingly reacting to the cycle. Even during what would be the Wyckoff accumulate phase the more players that are accumulating the faster they will exhaust the available supply... and then the share price starts to rise. Big players tend to drive these cycles but they can't arbitrarily create more sellers willing to offer their shares at a given price... and if Wyckoff's ideas are valid, he claims you can identify these cycles and play along. Though I'm open to hearing an explanation of what you think Wyckoff presented to allow "holding the price down" while accumulating more than the natural supply from sellers would allow at that price. Unless you're talking about spreading rumors about a company, or doing illegal things like a bank purposely telling their own clients to sell while they are buying for themselves... but that's not part of what I think of when I hear Wyckoff mentioned. Now that the volume has dropped substantially from the $6+ run up, do you think the accumulation phase is coming to an end and the stock price will start moving up? Or are we in this range until some big news event occurs? And will the move up come with very big volume? I would suspect we've fallen into a trading range until there is news. But that is merely a wild guess.

peppy - I see that you are starting to miss me. Ha! Spent 7 days in Phoenix and 3 days in San Francisco. Everywhere I visited ... was HOT ... 99 degrees in Phoenix and 90 degrees in San Francisco. Totally different than MNKD stock price. Ha! Morning that we left San Francisco ... the temperature dropped back into the 60's. So, time for us to get MNKD's stock price moving up to HOT levels.
When I left, I was excited about the financials picking up on MNKD. So, I was excited to hear about the new scripts picking up earlier than the report for 10/27/17. If this friday's script report show significant increases in new scripts ... then WE are on track for the lift off.
Stayed away from the stock reports because I knew that Nate's numbers would relatively hold. All we did was eat and drink ... or, drink and eat ... all was good. So, enough of this off topic report ... and let's get this show on the road!!!

peppy - that chart kinda looked like me the night that we were drinking heavy duty margaritas and $25 shots of this gold Mexican tequila that the bartender had to climb to the roof to get the bottle. I eventually had to switch to wine because I couldn't keep up with the younger shot drinkers. I knew they wouldn't be dropping shots into my wine ... I mean, there are rules that even drunks follow. Anyway, when I was staggering back to my room ... it did feel like half of my face had slid off and the rest was super red.

Why do I see a lot of small trades, like 4 or 9 shares, especially the first few hours of the trading day. HFT machines? Why is this legal? Its so obvious.

Lots of things are illegal and obvious, but who at the helm?

peppy's chart is starting to create my neck ... then the rise back up will show the green side of my face. Either from drinking too much ... or, getting into the Christmas spirit.
