don't know if anyone watches TV showblackish but tonight it was about the father becoming diabetic and he didn't want to take his insulin or finger prick and thought he can do it naturally by just exercising but then at a function he start sweating and then faints then realizes he needs to take his medication and insulin and I was thinking too bad afrezza couldn't somehow have been written in the script of course he comes around at the end and realizes he needs to do the finger prick's and take his insulin so what commercial comes on at the end of the show freakin tresiba. 😔😩 He doesn't take insulin and gets a hypo at a function? I think they are confusing hypos and highs. Also, he is diagnosed as a Type 2 and immediately put on insulin? Like that happens.... Type 2s can get hypos very easy if they are taking a sulfanarea and skip a meal. |

Type 2s can get hypos very easy if they are taking a sulfanarea and skip a meal. Good point. That is true, but they generally don't give sulfas to new diabetics (in my opinion they shouldn't be giving them to anyone). These days sulfa are largely bypassed by the newer drugs that don't cause hypos and are not as hard on the beta cells. |

Blackish is setting up well, once the audience gets used to what he's taking, then he switches to Afrezza and things are far better for him. If only Sports could become a writer for the show....
