It would have to be Mannkind buying Sanofi for it to read "Mannkind Corporations". That would require a pretty big loan. Didn't you get the memo? If Sanofi, Mannkind Corporation SIf Amgen, Mannkind Corporation AIf Merck, Mannkind Corporation MIf J&J, Mannkind Corporation JIf Apple, Mannkind Corporation AI have been holding this for way too long. Trying to lighten up my (others too!) mood :-) Now I understand you name. ....... tingtongtung

It's actually a little story :-) I used to dread those earnings/PR/Investor/etc calls. But, you had to attend/listen to them (I originally thought that MNKD would be a quick 5-6% profit and move on to next, never knew about the game changing Afrezza could do to diabetes people's lives). And, they were *ALWAYS* late. So, you *had* listen to that music for a long time! I got to know about Proboards around that time (I thought Pro => only professionals. Now I know better :-)). To get the scripts you have to register. In fact my brain relates (hash key!) MNKD to that music. So, I picked up that as my login. Anyway, not interesting! If you look back, this has been a looong journey. I hope it becomes worthwhile!

Googling suggests that firm is one of the smallest brokerages in the country and has only four offices in Florida. Is presenting there really worth the cost, time, and effort? So why does their website show offices in New York & Boston then? That's what came up when I went "digging", please source your link to the above referenced by you, thank you Source: noblecapitalmarkets.com/testimonialsMaybe digger misspoke, or else double counted, or maybe Noble closed some offices recently. IDK. According to the link you posted, they only have 3 offices: one each in Boston, NYC, and Boca Raton. I don't know much else about it, but following a lead on SA it appears that its President (and at various times its CEO and CFO) (Pronk) was recently fined (for fraud and other violations) and suspended from associating with any FINRA member for eight months. Among other things, he was aggressively pushing (misleading buyers of) shares of some company he was promoting. I guess we do want that. www.johnschapman.com/investor-news/noble-financial-capital-finra-settlement/

So what’s everyone’s gut feeling on this presentation and company. Is this just another secondary offering via atm? Or maybe they are brokering a deal between mannkind and an interested party? Or simply they are just an analysist willing to cover Mannkind and allowing them to present. MNKD goes to several of these investor conferences each year. No need to read anything in particular into it.

Fully agree! Mike couldn't present at JPM because they don't cover the company.

My guess is that this will be the time and place when management gives some insight about todays action. How can they not?

Leaked good news (causing shorts to cover) would be one way to explain the price action today. I don't think long investors would buy in these quantities without published news

How can this be a significant event? If MNKD has something to say to investors than it is easier, faster and cheaper done via a press release. So were is the press release that supports the jump today? And why should an increase in scripts by 10% or similar move the needle that much?

There is little way of calculating a true fair value for the stock right now, so wild swings can happen.

It sounds like the aim of this conference for MNKD is to explore more funding opportunities. Is it common for companies attending such events to also use it as an avenue to reveal important/material events? I have read others state that it's unlikely that the STAT study results will be reported here, which I think is reasonable and appropriate. However, I'm curious as to what other types of news MNKD might report that would be notable for this audience. I'm under the impression that little new information will be disseminated at this conference.

Just throwing out this thought. Any chance of a mid morning halt pending material news from Mikes presentation Monday? Interesting there is really nothing put together by now via slides etc...

Just throwing out this thought. Any chance of a mid morning halt pending material news from Mikes presentation Monday? Interesting there is really nothing put together by now via slides etc...Are you saying you're surprised the presentation hasn't been prereleased? MNKD has done a lot of these conferences over the years and I don't recall a single time anything was released ahead of time. There is theoretical chance of anything happening on the same day as a conference, but it really isn't likely. Material events, such as might warrant halt in trading, have to be made public within a short window. A company can't sit on that news waiting for an investor conference. And timing some major event to coincide with a conference isn't something I've ever seen companies doing, and it doesn't strike me as something I'd ever try to interject into a business deal given I see no real value in it. I think it's just wishful thinking if one is imagining something substantial being announced Monday. This is simply a routine event that MNKD management has consistently done for many years.
