The thought did occur to me that the advisory board members where younger than the present board members. What also jumps out at you is that the Advisory Board is almost evenly divided among male and female members, whereas the Board of Directors is all male. Maybe we need a more balanced BOD. Maybe someone could do some research and suggest a few nominees for next year.

Why the fuss over grown-up pharmaceutical company blocking and tackling? We all know Scientific Advisory Boards are common. Members often sit on boards and committees for multiple manufacturers.

Lois Jovanovic was speaker #13 at the ADCOM. I don't remember her saying she was on the board at the time. I wonder what happened to her. It seems she is the Chief Scientific Officer of the Sansum Diabetes Research Institute, Santa Barbara, CA now. She said she treats 4000 PWDs per year. It would be nice if she could write some afrezza scripts at Sansum. I think the new board is awesome. Great job by Dr. Kendall. Hopefully everyone on the board writes lots of afrezza scripts. Here is a niece review I saw awhile back by Anne L. Peters, MD www.medscape.com/viewarticle/887352

Perhaps Mike should recruit Melinda Gates to join the MannKind Board of directors. It would be good bag a big name director.

Say $50mm a year entry level. Of course they may want to discuss access programs.

They were just listed as "Scientific Advisors: Diabetes". So maybe the "Scientific Advisory Board" 2018 has a different function than the "Scientific Advisors" 2011-2014

The closest prescribing doctor is an internist some 15 miles away. I guess Afrezza did not make an impression on her.

The Find A Doctor list is presumably compiled from reports by Afrezza sales reps. But many doctors refuse to see reps and therefore aren't included on the list.

Bringing this thread out of hibernation because I noticed that it looks like the SAB is completely different members since, well, not really sure since when. Not sure if anyone else has been documenting Mannkind SAB members anywhere, but here is what is currently listed on mannkindcorp.com/about/mannkind Scientific Advisory BoardThomas Blevins, MD, FACE, ECNU, FNLA Clinical Endocrinologist, Texas Diabetes and Endocrinology, Austin, Texas Bruce W. The others I believe are OGs. How much value any of these individuals bring forth in the awareness, advocacy, and script growth of Afrezza remains to be seen.
