I disagree 100%. There are things waiting in the wings and MNKD will succeed with or without VdexHow many years have we been hearing that tired mantra? ?

I just regenerated my shares to support VDEX. It's time to shake up and let the Board know we the investors are tried of excuses after excuses about management not doing a good job with our technology that can interrupt the pharmaceutical market. It can't hurt our current situation. Your days of pretending you know what you're doing is coming to an end Mike. Regenerated? Not sure, but it sounds like you responded to the HFM/Vdex form twice, so that your shares were counted twice?

I'm conflicted here. We all love Sports but when she posts it is unclear if she is expressing her opinion or VDEX's opinion. Sports, please make it clear so we aren't criticizing you when we should be criticizing VDEX. For example, you just posted this: "If the situation should ever arise where the interests of Vdex come in conflict with the interests of shareholders, shareholders interest will win out." I have a VERY hard time believing this. No private company would put the interests of the shareholders of a separate independent public company ahead of the private company's interests. That's just not how business works. I would not expect vdex to take a bullet for me. So is this quote your opinion Sports, or is this BS from VDEX? I must agree with this. Whenever there is a cut and pasted post (by anyone) WITHOUT A LINK in that post to the source, we (I) can never be certain what is copied and pasted and what is new. Same problem when people cut and paste and then insert their own comments underneath, without indicating whose words are whose.

News/Event Archive LISTED IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER, NEWEST FIRST. July 16th Meeting with Mannkind General CounselMeeting with General Counsel! Is this finally it? Is Mannkind finally treating HFM / Vdex with the respect it deserves? By doing it the major courtesy of a hand-delivered cease and desist letter from a top dawg? www.mannkindcorp.com/david-b-thomson/David B. Thomson, PhD, JD, has been our General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since January 2002. Prior to joining us, he practiced corporate/commercial and securities law at the Toronto law firm of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. Earlier in his career, Dr. Thomson was a post-doctoral fellow at the Rockefeller University in New York. Dr. Thomson obtained his bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and Ph.D. degree from Queens University and obtained his J.D. degree from the University of Toronto.Hey, looks like he is (probably a) Canadian! (Maybe I knew that already, and it slipped my mind.) Go Canada! And we both attended U of T for some of our degrees. Go (PMS 655) Blues!

The comment posted by shawnflynn: “Afrezza cannot reverse T2DM. It's literally impossible because if you are required to take a drug the disease is not reversed” is not true and leads me to think that Shawn is extremely misinformed or woefully behind the times...which, perhaps, is indicative of the BS that Endos have been handed for years. I have posted many clinical studies that prove that short-term intensive insulin therapy results in drug-free remission of diabetes when administered during the early stages of T2DM. As sayhey accurately commented it’s because STII allows an over burdened pancreas to repair itself and generate new insulin-producing beta cells in sufficient numbers to restore the ability to regulate blood sugar and signal the liver to cease production of glucose. I thought his point was more that if someone has to take a drug for the rest of their life, then the disease it treats is not reversed but rather well managed / maintained. What you described (a situation where the pancreas is repaired and beta cells come) is a situation in which case the disease is actually reversed. And so you can stop taking the drug. So, I think you are both correct. There are two situations. In one, Afrezza used to manage T2DM (and you take Afrezza for life). In another, Afrezza is used to cure T2DM (and you can stop taking Afrezza). Although there are many Afrezza users on this forum, as best I can recall I think they have all been examples of the first. Did a Vdex white paper ever mention how many people they treated that had their T2DM reversed, and were able to quit taking Afrezza (or any other diabetes medication) completely?

It's a coiled spring! Waiting to explode!!! MK said, he was to going to try to give MC ‘til mid July to see if MNKD would start delivering real SH value. I think he pulled back from that time frame after trying to be heard by MC w/a concept that he thought might help w/Afrezza. He mentioned that it included bringing in some big hitters to start discussions & get the ball rolling. MK said he experienced the same thing as VDEX - it was an unsuccessful attempt that went nowhere. I emailed MC and asked why MNKD would not be open to talking to VDEX about their proposals and to MK about his ideas. MC said he did talk to Bill about the proposal. He also said he talked to MK about his idea(s). He went on to say, what I thought he had referred to as a quiet period was taking place but I just took a look at the email response so, here is the exact quote from MC... “We are in a blackout period so I don’t want to comment on the exchange.” I am sure blackout periods are common - leading up to earnings and such. I appreciated MC’s response but that ended the Q&A on that topic for now. Not at all sure why you chose my 2017 post as one to reply to but, hey, I appreciate the show of love!

Virta Health published its clinical trial results in a peer reviewed journal, rather than issue a white paper.
I won't say that is the only reason the street, practitioners, etc., (MC?) appear to be taking it more seriously than Vdex, but I'm sure it doesn't hurt.

So it’s a low-carb diet for a type two diabetic? I have that program, it costs you $600 a month. $50 a session 3 times a week. But you add in some strategic fat burning muscle building training. I’m not sure I’m following this ? This interview may be of interest, as it explains some of the specialised services (tech, software, in-house medical consulting) Virta offers: techcrunch.com/2017/08/27/sami-inkinen-on-his-bold-plan-to-cure-type-2-diabetes-forever/It is an old interview, so no one should fixate on the patient numbers reported. That was over 2 years ago, and it has obviously grown a lot since then.

While I am at it, IMO, MK has done NOTHiNG to deserve the venomous, hateful treatment he receives from some, either. Whyyyyy is it so difficult to just not read what he has to say if he offends you? Comments, thoughts, ideas, Opinions - even a call for action are just that. I thought that was what these stock boards were all about. There is no requirement to read it, agree or take action. We are supposed to all be adults. Everyone can decide what they think and / or want to do. It would be nice if there could be common decency & respect. That seems like it should be so simple.. Personally I don't hate the guy. I just think he is overrated by some and thinks too highly of himself. Perhaps you missed that he has been pumping a number of failing penny stocks over the last year or two, that just keep failing? I fear MNKD is going to be just another on his list. I wonder how he makes money pumping failing stocks like BRKK (BRK, Inc., currently $0.0008 per share), RXMD, and TNXP. If his lousy track record at promoting those low cap stocks doesn't worry you, I guess don't worry about it. But your comment about don't read it if it offends you ... maybe you want to think that one through again? Unless one can time travel, it is hard not to have read something AFTER it has already offended you. And in advance, there is no way of knowing whether it will offend you or not. FWIW, I suppose some people are also upset and at how he insulted a few American troops a while back. I suppose that bothers some more than others.

MK.... Follow MNKD - I was sent a post off of a message board written by a “TripTwit” (LOL). Said that the activist effort led by Vdex and I was “amateur” “populist” “retail”....Boring 🤗... Let’s set the record straight - what was amateurish was a management team putting forward the world’s worst ever offering, then having the nerve to give itself bonuses and raises to boot. That’s amateur. I used to cover companies with yearly revenue of tens of billions - real companies with real CEOs and real IR teams - and if they pulled that nonsense, they would be fired almost on the spot. Management has been playing amateur level ball for awhile, and they dug in their heels on something ridiculously amateur and now they deserve whatever comes their way...And oh, by the way, another couple million shares have joined the movement in the last couple of days, so I highlight to my followers the importance of joining a strong and growing movement. Give Vdex and Bill your support to get a real say in corporate governance over at MannKind. Anyone who stands against this simple goal is not likely a true long. #MNKD Whenever someone appeals to the, or talks about themselves being a, 'true long', I am reminded of this quote: "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel" - Samuel Johnson (Years later, George Bernard Shaw said something along the same lines to do with politics.)

I thought HFM was supposed to be a separate company that would be the distributor for Afrezza to Vdex. In this video he said HFM (Hope For Mannkind) was a “movement” and didn’t mention HFM as the proposed distributor. Bill is a big thinker, don't restrict him to your expectations of consistency. "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and tomorrow speak what tomorrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. — 'Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' — Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood." - Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance

I watched the video. About 3:45 in, he estimates $300 million in revenue based on 300,000 patients.
That is $1000 per patient per year.
Does that seem realistic? Isn't the current average cost / script running about $1500? And those scripts are not annual. If it was possible to sell at $1000 per year (so $250 per script on average instead of $1500), perhaps Afrezza would already have 300,000 patients?
As I posted a while ago in the scripts thread, perhaps I'm confused about the weekly average $ / Rx numbers. If I am, please correct me.

Wait, so HFM stands for Hope For Mannkind and not Hot F*ing Mess? So sad.
