The best news about RLS finally stepping forward is the industry validation of Technosphere. While MNKD is currently moving forward alone in the diabetes space and hinting strongly at other applications, UTHR has put money on the line to move forward in the pulmonary hypertension space. Now, we finally learn why Andrea Leone-Bay left MNKD to join RLS as they too are apparently moving forward with TS solutions for epilepsy, chronic pain, PTSD and more. The sum total is frankly great news for MNKD though the market hasn't reacted just yet. IMO, the paradigm shift to TS becoming the next generation, state-of-the-art, ultra-rapid drug delivery system has a lot of engines firing on the launching pad. This appears to be the embarrassment of riches referred to long ago though prematurely. A few more announcements in the near term may finally lift this company and stock off towards the sky. GLTA

I believe, and have stated many times that Mannkind needs Technosphere to be successful. I also believe that it will become successful when it begins to be recognized as mainstream. Afrezza sales certainly haven't helped the situation. Perhaps other indications will be more readily accepted and that will in turn help drive Afrezza sales. "Oh, that's the thing where you just breathe in to get the medicine?" We need to see acceptance in the marketplace. Let's hope that these opportunities bear fruit. I see a potential snowball effect here.

What will drive afrezza sales are updates to the standards of care. Sad but true is four years have been lost towards that effort. Until that happens expect slow but steady script growth.
Hopefully Dr. Kendall will have good news in the not too distant future.

Here is how we can make doctors more comfortable prescribing Afrezza... give them some RLS samples with each titration pack
