I don't see it that way. I see a guy with extensive diabetes experience, who read all the "lost studies", talked to a number of afrezza users and concluded he has a near cure for T2 diabetes. He is a true believer and an official "cult" member.
At the same time he may have under-estimated the battle he was going to face with an under-funded company, few have heard of outside all the CEO's of BP diabetes companies where MNKD lives rent free in their minds. Then again as the ex-CMO of the ADA he may have fully understood the battle he was facing but feels he holds the nuclear weapon which will win the war.
At some point the true value of afrezza will be realized. Its not that afrezza is a little better T2 treatment, it is a game changer, a near cure when strictly dosed and a better treatment than any oral even when casually taken and under dosed.
IMO, outside of Al Mann, if anyone can do it, it is the team of Mike and Dr. Kendall. Mike was able to extend the runway but the big question is does Dr. Kendall have enough runway for lift off? I have hope for some near term positive news. I don't expect him to get it done in one big bang but rather chip and chip at the T1 and T2 SOCs.

All I was doing is commenting on the "easy" statement. We know all too damned well that nothing has ever been "easy" for Mannkind. Disruptive technology never is. It just seems a little bold, naive, (fill in appropriate adjective here) to make a statement like that. I stand here waiting.

I would love some news today. Maybe why now with this offering? What is the plan with the money? Also what is the company doing differently to drive script numbers up at a better pace! Fyi, talked with a woman who works for a busy Endo. She said they have 10 plus people on Afrezza and they love it. Dr's are buying in. Thought that was positive news.
