I also need to find a prescribing provider in the St Paul Minneapolis area. Actually Mason City Iowa would be better. I tweeted and tagged Mannkind, but received zero responses from anybody.
I struck out in Florida with my Father in Laws Endocrinologists. I had to force myself to just shut up because I was about to read him the riot act !!
My Father in Law suffers from Hypoglycemia literally every week. His insurance has approved a Dexcom CGM for him, but he still doesn’t have one. When I asked his Endocrinologists why, I got the deer in the headlights look. I went as far as the sun dial compared to the IPhone for convenience when checking the time, and even asked him if he still started fire by friction. He could easily tell I was disgusted with him.
My hope is to find an Endocrinologists near his Farmlands in Iowa, and try to get him on Afrezza there. Then he will realize what a lousy Endocrinologists he has in Florida, and send him walking.

We have come such a long way from the days after Afrezza was approved and Sanofi was our “partner” (I hope they get what’s coming to them.). Sam Finta and his small group of people were some of the very few who were visible users in social media in the early days. Word is most definitely spreading as we can see in the growing Facebook group and the recent Jake video. Insurance coverage is getting better and better. I think we are oh so close to the hollowed critical mass moment.

Then again, doing so paints a target on each one that is listed, making them easy prey for anti-competitive actions by BP. Who knows how far they’d stoop, but we’ve seen Snafoey make bold statements about Afrezza’s demise, so I guess anything is possible when it comes to BP protecting their thiefdom. |
