I just read that Kroger is working on having all 2,000+ of it's pharmacy locations certified via the American Association of Diabetes Educators. That got me thinking. Grocery has numerous places in Pharmacy and in other sections where one could station a shelf talker to encourage shopper patients to inquire about Afrezza. You can even put a QR code on the talker to provide an educational video. Point is, Grocery is focusing on Diabetes as a broad reaching disease state where they can be of help. While we partner with insurance, we can partner with Grocery on a state by state basis, where we have the most writers, to get the word out in an appropriately targeted way that overlaps education, coverage, prescription writing and availability. Mike should talk with Collen Lindholz, President of Kroger Health. To see where such a partnership might lead.
BTW, it only costs about $30-$40K to blanket all Kroger doors with in store signage directing shopper patients to pharmacy. May be early days, but, lots of patients get diabetes meds and supplies at grocery.

Also if 1 drug company does it then ALL will do it and it will not be worth it. Now you can have the MKD Sales Rep visit the CDE's and educate them but for the most part it probably will not work. Also not too many people go to the pharmacy for advice.....JMO
