Do you think being asthmatic has something to do with your results? I couldn't count it out, but it's doubtful. It reacts this way even when using an inhaler before. It works the same either way. In fact, I don't even need an inhaler with 1-2 cartridges. I got used to it. But for anything more, it just feels unnatural. I am really curious to see what lung impact studies will show in the future. I was one of those that thought lung issues from Afrezza wouldn't be an issue but after using it, I am not so sure. Time will tell. You're Asthmatic and you think the issues you're experiencing aren't related to asthma? interesting. time will tell what? There are people who have been on afrezza for lots of time with no issues.

I think that there's a reason people with asthma, copd, smokers... etc. are not supposed to be taking Afrezza.

Looks like too much afrezza in one shot leads to lower bioavailability if there is lung issue. Maybe you can try multiple 8 units, space each 20~30 min apart, this would increase bioavailability and should have higher efficacy.

From the graph, 24U and 16U, substantial amounts were wasted. One huge single shot is not a good idea. It is like people with healthy lungs, if they inhale beyond capacity, say 60U in a shot, the efficacy would probably be something like 40U. Look at the ratio of Humalog and Afrezza.

12U, 8U, 8U, and 4U maybe suffice.

Or... maybe you shouldn't take it at all if you have asthma. Isn't that just common sense? Read the warnings, right?

IMO he needs more units than he's willing to take. If he were to overcome the asthma issues he'd be able to adjust dosage to compensate like most others have been able to do. However, it shouldn't be a suprise that an hour or so after a meal afrezza was already on its way out of his system. I think in cases like that, finta was split dosing during/after the meal with substantial amounts

"Tortilla chips and salsa. Serving of Spansh Rice and refried beans topped with queso, and a tortilla filled with seasoned chicken and held together with a slice of bell pepper, also topped with queso. It's a massive meal." Well, sounds more like an appetizer to me. Also sounds like you should not be taking Afrezza, don't hurt yourself.

I wanted to report that my wife took Afrezza for several years but developed a form of photosensitivity due to it. If readers are interested I can ask her to write a more detailed description. ... Dermatologic Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Photosensitivity reactions, rash, urticaria[Ref] Other Common (1% to 10%): Fatigue, asthenia[Ref]
