Along the same lines, it's always worth another look at Molokai Mac's Afrezza commercial Go Live Life: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF1X78RBulo. I've watched it 20 or 30 times because I like videos about...inhaled insulin. The music is cool too (Come Alive by BarlowGirl). I bet if Sanofi put in on TV as is NRx would spike.

I don't know why Sanofi doesn't put more emphasis on the young and active type 1 market? They are the most obvious early user/ adopters and by far. They are also a gateway to a wider market. Once a MD has seem a patient on Afrezza it becomes real and much more intuitive. Young, educated and active type 1s will want a better insulin that will permit them to lead the more active lifestyles so well portrayed in this excellent video.
Peakabull certainly gets what I would like Sanofi (and MNKD management?) to get: the type 1 market is the introduction to the type 2 market and they are synergistic. Their is the possibility that Sanofi considers that getting significant market share from the type 1 market is just a matter of time (which I agree with) even if they put little direct effort into it (which I don't agree with) so they are simply focusing on the bigger group?

I'm back. Had a wonderful time with the guys. Pitched Afrezza to every person with Diabetes I could find and had a wonderful reception. I also found in my pitching TWO MNKD INVESTORS, Baby Boomers T2. Both guys had been stock holders for about 3 months and were telling others about the company while I showed the product. I'm sure I used strong arm tactics. Attachment Deleted

Your hat worked well, I see no huge sunburn on your face. 6 weeks on Afrezza. Your fasting blood glucoses @100. Reading: Blood Sugar 101 – What They Don’t Tell You About Diabetes; Why Fasting Blood Sugar Levels are Often the Last to Deteriorate I want to see your HbA1c when you get them drawn. (I knew blood glucose levels.) The 2010 American Diabetes Association (ADA) standards of care for diabetes, based largely on the opinion of an international expert committee, added hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) as diagnostic criteria for diabetes (≥6.5%) and prediabetes (5.7–6.4%) (3,4). In theory, wider application of this new approach should reduce the delay in diagnosing diabetes by adding a straightforward test to complement fasting glucose and oral glucose tolerance testing. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2999978/ So good you are having fun.

I want to see your HbA1c when you get them drawn. (I knew blood glucose levels.)
So do I. Won't that be exciting. Of course it won't be till November.
This morning I went to my ENDO for my monthly report to the research group. It was supposed to be by phone but I needed to show my paperwork to the nurse. I'm T2 and use a Basal at night. After 6 weeks of Afrezza I can tell what's going to happen with the FBG by the bed time reading. Over the last 2 weeks I've had 4 lows in the early morning. It was time to adjust the basal. Not hard to figure out. So my ENDO dropped it by 4 units. I got 2 ATTA BOYS and 1 hug. The life of a trail blazer is rough. So far my basal has been cut in half, no telling what Novembers HbA1c numbers are going to be.

So when you no longer require basal (and we know that is ultimately coming) of what use will you be to the trial for the Lantus comparator? In my Kool-Aide induced stupor I see the trial coming apart at the seams as one after another T2 starts Afrezza and realizes they shouldn't be on basal at all, Lantus or otherwise. Thanks for blazing the trail and torching the trial, blindhog!

Oh My Goodness....You have it all wrong. Worldwide there are 7500 people in this study. The study doesn't end for 2 more years. If I don't die of Cardiac problems and my numbers continue in the direction they are going, I will have been of value. Your prediction will have made this study more valuable.
I am one of the Baby Boomers that scares the living crap out of Big Pharma. Fortunately I am being monitored and the results are real and verifiable. Maybe millions of people might have a chance at a decent healthy life because of studies like this.

Geez, kball, does silicone always have that effect on you, perhaps you're allergic? I doubt that any of those lovelies would fail an FEV1 test... Knockout Gals: Is it normal to have 15 guys administering this lung test? 15 Doctors in unison: Totally normal, yeah. One guy: I'm just a patient from the next room but i had to see what all the commotion was about.
