Forgive me but I am a bit confused. We heard a while back about Monash University and their inhaled oxytocin. Some believed it was Mannkind who was behind the tech but review of their info seemed to conclude they were using the tech that Pfizer used from their purchase of Nektar. Yes, the same failed tech found in Exubera. Yesterday, Hakan (gotta be one of the most uninspiring CEOs I have ever heard) mentioned this: At first I thought he was talking about Monash (since Mintaka starts with a "M" I was thinking he was talking about Monash and thought, "WHOA, I was wrong about my initial critique of those saying Mannkind was involved with 'that company' Monash." Well, I wasn't wrong as this is a totally different foundation. But the question remains, why has Mannkind been so quiet about this? One other note, I searched The Gates Foundation website and found no mention of Mintaka. www.mintakafoundation.org/our-projects/maternal-health/

Monash isn't the foundation that Mannkind worked with. It is Mintaka which doesn't show up. So did Mintaka beat out Monash or did Mintaka just get some runner up award?

I am confused about the inhaled oxytocin as well. Hakan muddied the situation even more. Is Hakan the best Mann could find?

I emailed Dr. Michelle McIntosh who was lead on the Monash U Oxytocin project a few months back to ask her if their team was using Mannkind's technosphere and I never heard back from her. From the news Hakan relayed yesterday, I understand why she probably didn't want to answer. Again, Pfizer's tech was beaten by Mannkind's technosphere. Now if only Mannkind can monetize the tech.
