I am unable to access it at the moment but I confident that the original statement about the commercializing team was that the team numbered close to 70 people. However, it was mentioned that the team included managers and nurse educators. I'm thinking with 12 NE's and a few Mgrs, the Area Business Mgrs (Sales) would have only numbered in the low 50's from the get go. Hardly indicative of any kind of mass exodus, IMHO. mnholdem, for your information, Mike specifically said at last conference call that the total number of sales people at that time was 42. If I recall correctly, he also said that they had about 20% vacancy rate for the sale positions for various reasons (sick leave, etc., or a position was never filled in the first place). I think you are right about the 50 number. Mannkind probably aimed to hire around 50 some sales people in the first place, but some positions did not fill, some left, some on leave, etc. and any way at the time of the conference call, there were 42 sales people.

There is a lot of talent on the street right now, and more coming. As noted, Sanofi will be cutting 20% of their sales force tomorrow and numerically the cuts are more like 40% (they had roughly 20% open positions plus 20% in new terminations). All the nurse educators were let go from Sanofi last week, with immediate effect, and all the contract reps from Quintiles were notified last week that they were out. Area and regional business managers were cut earlier this week. Similarly, Astra-Zeneca is having a substantial downsizing as well so there is a lot of talent out there.
I don't envy anybody that has to do that much interviewing, but if MNKD seriously wants to fill 50 slots now is the time to do it.

Unless they are in a union where seniority rules only the non performing dead beats will get layed off the good ones that work good and make a lot of sales they will keep. I hope I'm wrong and that great talented sales reps will be available.

I would think former SNY reps would be good targets for MNKD as they would have existing relationships with Endos and may have experience with Afrezza. JMHO

A good friend survived but many talented and knowledgeable prospects are searching for work. IMHO best hires will be Novo reps who have a footprint and can demonstrate value of Afrezza (with Tresiba = new standard of care?). mnkd.proboards.com/thread/6661/blue-skies-prospects-looking-forward

To be honest I dont think MNKD has even tried to sell Afrezza yet.. I know I know we said the same thing with Sanofi.. But the reasoning still remains.. Better insurance coverage, better labeling, more first user testimonials.. I think we are getting everything in place for a major awareness and marketing campaign coming in the next couple months... Everyone hold tight and fasten your seat belts for lift off. Not selling one share until SP hits all time highs.

So management has been lying to us for two years about the sales and marketing attempts and they are basically sitting around at their office watching youtube cat videos until insurance coverage and labeling improves? And you're still using the "awareness" card after all these months? That card expired over a year ago!

Mannkind could file for chapter 11 and you would still get posts of, "They filed because they were secretly instructed by Sanofi because they are going to offer a one for one stock exchange." Anyone who thinks Mannkind is not actively and desperately trying to sell their lead and only drug in which they have everything riding on as a company is in complete denial of the situation.
