I'm not sure what you're trying to say. My insurance through Anthem Blue Cross, Silver Pathway, California, required prior authorization and the coupon works to the tune of $15 for three boxes per month.

Match non-US prices then insurance doesn't matter. The price would be around $40 per box. You are probably +/- $5 of a lot of the RAA insurance prices at that point.

No, not if the insurance company DENIES coverage due to the Prior Authorization requirement. YOUR insurance has allowed you coverage despite Prior Auth. Mine says NO, "no coverage for you". My doctor submitted request as required by Prior Auth. Nonetheless my insurance said NO. They said other options were available such as Novalog and Humalog.

So in the context of Sam needing 3 boxes per month, that's $120 per month... still painful or completely unaffordable for many... and you've just cut the potential revenue stream for Mannkind by a factor of nearly 10. I'm not certain MNKD has the pricing perfect, but I just don't see how they can price this so it becomes affordable for all those without insurance coverage unless they are totally giving up on recouping the billions spent in development... and totally giving up on ever getting back to a share price that would make early investors whole. I don't really get the logic. If the major problem were cost then we should be seeing some script increase as there is certainly a segment of the population that has coverage. Since we are seeing flat scripts that to me indicates that pricing can't be the only problem. Under that scenario of having other problems to growth, slashing pricing only moves us much further out from break even in terms of the growth that would be required.

Three things: Awareness! And we need better insurance coverage. And we need the doctors to have confidence that the company will be around so they aren't afraid to prescribe to patients.

I was in an neurologist's office (big practice kind of place), and in the exam room there was a monitor of sorts. "Ads" would cycle through there, about eating well, blah, blah, and I wasn't paying attention to it. When the nurse came in to talk to me, I was looking at her and behind her was the screen and I saw Afrezza come up. So, at least they are doing this. I wonder what sort of contract length Mannkind signed for these ads.

Did anyone see the interview with Outcome Health on CNBC this morning? They are the company with these in-office displays. The two founders mentioned diabetes care specifically as a focus area of theirs. Here is the CNBC link to the interview. video.cnbc.com/gallery/?video=3000623535Also, they just completed an initial round of private funding (Goldman participated).
