which is 777...coincidence or Jackpot time? He has not been playing golf the last few years but I speculate he has been serving as a consultant for someone. July 28th will be the 13th anniversary of MNKD's IPO and the commencement of my continual water boarding...will it end soon?

Hakan recently changed his LinkedIn work status from "Retired" to "Board Member & Consultant" - Not sure if he's going anywhere.

OH--I did not see that. Well, it confirms the consulting capacity which I believe is not new by any means. Maybe he was asked to take a board seat by whomever he was consulting.

I suspect that Hakan is playing under terms similar to his change of control agreement. If that is the case he gets paid for the subsequent 18 months to termination which would expire this month.

I remember it is expiring on 01-Jul-17 and not this month.

I remember it is expiring on 01-Jul-17 and not this month. I thought he left in November 2015 which would take it to May 2017. Maybe that was when it was announced as opposed to when it happened.

From SEC Filing:
Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
(e)
On December 1, 2015, MannKind Corporation (the “Company”) entered into a separation agreement with Hakan S. Edstrom, the Company’s former President and Chief Executive Officer who resigned on November 19, 2015, regarding the terms of Mr. Edstrom’s transition and separation from the Company. Pursuant to the agreement, and provided that Mr. Edstrom does not revoke his acceptance of the agreement, Mr. Edstrom will provide the Company with a general release of claims and will remain employed with the Company to provide transition and other services through July 1, 2017, subject to his earlier resignation or termination by the Company. Mr. Edstrom will report to the Company’s principal executive officer during the term of the agreement, serving in a non-executive capacity.

Hakan recently changed his LinkedIn work status from "Retired" to "Board Member & Consultant" - Not sure if he's going anywhere. Hakan joined the Board of Directors of Vaccinogen in 2015 and serves as the Chair of the Company’s compensation committee. I also recall that he was on at least one other BOD when he took the CEO spot at MannKind. He's known and very much respected in the European medical community, where Al Mann tapped him from to begin with.
