Maybe someone or Mannkind could create a goFundMe.com page to raise the $10 million to pay off the near term debt. Hypothetical: $10,000,000 / 10,000 (longs who want to save their investment) = $1000. This would create a possible short squeeze and we would easily get our $1000 back. or We could just sit back and wait for dilution or a possible buyout. What do you guys think?

I believe that Mike C and his team have their own plan to handle the debt. The recent hiring of top executives in the MNKD arena lends me to feel this way. Hopefully their plan does not beat up the stock price any more than it already is. Maybe a go fund me account will help... I don't have the answers, but I'm sure as hell not going anywhere at this point! The tide seems to be turning... Albeit slowly, we are going in the correct direction. GLTA!

On the bright side, there's not much they can do at this point to drop the share price any lower.

No. It's a month's spending money and that is how the shorts would see it. They would happily sell into any short term spike because there is no catalyst to support a change of direction so the price would rapidly revert. Essentially you would be putting money in the shorts' pocket.

Does one gets anything else other than the potential short squeeze? MNKD can offer to sell its shares on shelf? I would buy a few more shares and I would definitely prefer if my money goes to MNKD to alleviate its cash crunch.

I suggest you look at Mannkind's SEC filings over those two weeks to find out what caused the drop.

Actually scoy ... my post was asking for the shorts to bring the share price down below a dollar ... not that they caused it before.
But with newer developments and the conference call coming up ... I can't wait for a price drop and will be loading up ASAP.
Good luck to you.

There had been discussion of a rights offering. Has that idea been shelved?

There had been discussion of a rights offering. Has that idea been shelved? Management hasn't discussed it. We have no idea whether it is or ever was being considered.
