After working on a friend for months to try out Afrezza he had his doctor order some.
Upon going to Walmart to get his prescription, he asked the Walmart pharmacist a question about Afrezza. The reply was that I have never heard of this product and you are the first to order via this Walmart.
In addition this is a university town of about 40,000
What a bummer. This also did little for my buddy to have confidence in Afrezza if no-one knew of it.

Obviously little buddy has insurance and a physician that will to write for afrezza. Here is the titration help. www.seventhform.com/vdexdownloads/vdex-whitepaper-072817.pdf
Afrezza’s speed of action is both a blessing and a curse. Clearly, it is a large factor in the safety of the product, but for longer meals, you may need more Afrezza to keep the post prandial levels in check. We recommend follow-on doses. For example, we advise with a standard meal to dose Afrezza 15-20 minutes after the start of the meal, and then another dose of the same size about 45 minutes later. With very long meals, we have even advised patients to administer two follow-on doses, for very tight control.

for me, if I were little buddy, with what I believe I have learned. Assess the meal for sugar, fat. get a blood glucose prior to the meal. (keep a log of all blood glucose levels) I would dose as told, 15 mins into the meal. (set a timer) I would take my blood glucose 45 mins later and decide if I needed a second dose. (set a timer) I would check my blood glucose approximately every 45 mins or more until I started to understand my blood glucose, my meal, my afrezza dose/doses.
